That's what the mainstream dishes out, even during shows that are supposed to be about solving crimes. Because only some people should be allowed to enjoy TV shows and have a cast of characters cheering them on for their politics. The rest of society needs to be brainwashed - whoops, - educated! Whipped into shape! No politics-free entertainment for you!
Political propaganda is everywhere.
It's not enough to bullcrap just through news shows and lame comedies any more. Society needs it hammered into their heads daily, whenever they turn on some media that one side of the political aisle is totally benevolent, and the other, a "basket of deplorables!" The "good" side might have its "freedom fighters" that are not always passive, but whatever violence they do should be excused, because it's all "for the greater good". The other "bad" side is just nuts and stupid and most of all, "RACIST/SEXIST" - privileged, and aren't actually victims and can never be considered victims when violence is done against them... They must've done something to deserve it... Or there has got to be some incredibly dark dirty secret about someone in their background, or something about a living relative, ugly backstories certain primetime show producers on the "good" side are all too eager to contrive to make their side look less villainous.
Then, in some cases, they can add even more insult to injury with a plot twist at the end. The victim on the "bad" side doesn't get justice because she was on the "wrong" political side, so nobody could be bothered tossing her rapists in the slammer since her political positions were so very much more offensive than her rape, and she was branded a "troll" by the very people who were supposed to be helping her to get justice.
Or in another case, the girl didn't get physically attacked at all, she only got stared at, and she was forced to lie by her "racist klansman grandpa who had told her all her life that (insert certain people) always commit vile offensive acts against people like her. So, in the end, the initial victim turns out to be - a liar, a false accuser, and too stupid to breathe, while the real rape happened to the mother of her peeping tom, who happened to be among the favourite demographics of the politically "angelic". A rape perpetrated by that same lying racist grandpa just mentioned above...
And, the politically "good" are always hurling accusations of "RACIST!" toward people who are not, just for being on the "wrong" side of the political aisle. If you don't agree with all the agendas and ideologies of the politically "good" you are scum, and if you're a fictional character, you must be a troll/scoundrel/villain/nutcase/backward/stupid...

I totally quit watching that show after their tasteless "Legitimate Rape" episode, which was so obviously a mock of that Akin dude for his big speech faux pas. He also got mocked by a satire, which was really trying to mock all conservatives. Still watch old re-runs if they don't have cruddy politics and Christian-bashing in them, and those episodes are rather few in comparison to the crap they've spun out over the series.

There was this one episode where a teacher got raped by a student, who got off lightly IMO, but the way they portrayed the victim's husband was really despicable. First, they had him all upset because Sara aborted the embryo from the rape, because anti-abortion you know, and if you're a Christian or a conservative you just like totally gotta be an anti-abortion activist who shows less compassion for a rape victim than an unborn...! *Scowl* Then at the end, they had him railing because he and Sara wouldn't be compensated financially for all the trauma and trouble. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, not only was the message of that show "Conservatives and/or Christians only care about money and the unborn!"

I'm a Christian, definitely not a miser, and am no friend to activism on either side of the freaking abortion issue, I wish it would just freaking go away. Nobody is ever going to come up with a solution that will satisfy everyone, the debate was settled ages ago, and neither side needs to keep drudging it back up to perpetuate that stupid "WAR ON WOMEN!" myth or scream "BABY KILLER!" Just STHU already...!
There was another episode that re-ran on a channel late at night. Some man was talking about a perp VS two women, and why his daughter was attacked and the other wasn't. He actually said of the perp: "He raped the wrong woman." I could feel part of my brain dying and the rest just filled with outrage muck.
What the heck dimwit would even consent to doing a script like that? So the takeaway from that show was some men think there is a right woman to rape? What the...$#@#$@#$!@#$@#%#!@##$%@!@$#@#

Kimber: The January 31 episode follows the sexual assault case of a fictional right-wing political pundit named Martha Cobb (Rhea Seehorn) at a rally on a college campus. Right off the bat, Martha is introduced giving a speech and mocking her protestors like a knockoff Ann Coulter, because I’m pretty sure that’s the only breed of conservative woman that exists to NBC.
Ocean Elf: Of course, and they also consider her to be a "gender traitor" I'm sure...
Kimber: The rally quickly dissolves into chaos when both Antifa and white supremacist groups clash with each other. As the conservative who organized the rally states, “We hate being associated with that crap [white supremacy], but it’s not our place to turn people away.”
Ocean Elf: Which is also crap. It is actually the duty of any above-board political party or any kind of organization, or individual, to turn away the rotten eggs... I constantly reject communities and people I come across on the net for being trollish, group-thinky, or both...
White supremacists and anitra are all the same as far as I'm concerned. They're only obsessed with adoring and hating different skin colours...
Kimber: Sadly, once the chaos clears, Martha is found to have been beaten and sexually assaulted with the pole of a protest sign in an alley near the event. (There’s something extremely troubling about a show that rapes a character who is clearly based on a real person. Is this some sick liberal fantasy?)

Kimber: Justin’s (the Antifa supporter) defense attorney calls Randy to the stand and proceeds to expose his hateful beliefs – at one point they even have Randy pointing out minority members of the jury he’d want to purge from the country! Their case is that Randy raped Martha after she turned him down in a bar the night before.
Ocean Elf: If I had written that script, that would've stayed the same, but they would've found all sorts of sick stuff in Randy's home, including a home-made torture chamber.
And getting rejected in a bar sure doesn't justify rape! Nothing does!
But I guess they all thought he "raped the right woman". *Fuming*
Kimber: When Olivia questions Martha again, Martha says she is “pretty sure” it was the Antifa guy who raped her. ADA Rafael Barba (Raúl Esparza) doesn’t like hearing this, but Olivia reminds him, “We both know that the law doesn’t require absolute certainty,” and that it’s for the jury to decide. Barba begins to cross-examine Randy but once Randy starts acting like a smug, condescending jerk again, Barba shocks everyone by suddenly asking for the case to be dismissed.
Ocean Elf: So his character even gets utterly butchered for the sake of liberal propaganda here. Revolting!
Kimber: Wow, really? This racist ticked him off so much that Barba’s willing to ignore physical evidence, let a potential rapist go free, and declare that the case can NEVER be tried? So much for justice. Even Olivia thinks Martha “deserves her day in court.”
Ocean Elf: That episode is absolute trash! It makes a mockery of the whole cast of characters in addition to pouring on the sickening propaganda.
Kimber: Nevertheless, Martha fares relatively well after the case, revealing to Olivia that she plans to write her new book on the experience condemning the criminal justice system. After all, she is a pundit who refuses to act “like the kind of spineless victim that I ridicule.” And there goes the last shred of sympathy we’re allowed to have for a conservative woman who suffered rape. Even at the end, it all comes down to politics.
Ocean Elf: Because they just can't allow her to be broken up over this experience, oh, NO! That just would never do! It would show her as *gasp* human! And that just isn't allowed, oh, heck no! *Rolling eyes furiously*
