Attack From Jeff the Killer: Shattered Memory

--

🤥CP: She just couldn't fall asleep… As the cool November evening slowly flowed into the morning dead time hours, a young girl tossed and turned in her small yet comfortable bed, thick turquoise colored blankets covering her small form. Soft moonlight splashed across her blind-shut window, revealing a small, two roomed apartment that seemed more like a dorm suite for a college residence building. Plainly decorated, only a few posters and pictures here and there on the sea foam painted wall, a small TV in the farthest corner with a m idnight blue bean bag chair right in front of it to represent a "couch". Near that, a medium-sized coffee table was present, a cute looking tea pot with two porcelain tea cups resting on the surface.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Which is a nice description for a comfy personal space. But why do I have the feeling it's about to be contaminated by Jeff The Killer?

🤥CP: That was what the girl concentrated on; the entirety of her room…that was all the girl could concentrate on. Sleep…was out of the question.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: I'm guessing she's anxious.

🤥CP: A long and bare pale arm reached out from under the comforter, groping about to find her dresser and letting out a soft sigh of relief when her fingertips grazed across the smooth glossy cover of her cellphone. Making a grab for it, she dragged the helpless device underneath her little hideaway and flipped it open.

4:44 AM

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: That's a serious case of insomnia.

🤥CP: Comforting.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Huh? Why?

🤥CP: It didn't help that the teenager was also feeling very…anxious, she would describe it as possibly?

Yes, anxious would be the correct word for how she felt. She couldn't help but blame her fellow classmates for this though, they just had to keep yapping away about what was happening in the world. Now, granted the girl shouldn't be irritated about that, everyone was free to talk when they wished. But…it was what they were talking about that truly bothered her:

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: That's normal to get upset about bad things that go on in the world. It's one reason I don't watch the news. It's either horribly depressing or just stupid bullcrap propaganda for agendas passing itself off as information. And that really annoys me.

Yes, everybody has a right to think/feel what they want, which also means she has the right to be put out if her friends are being disagreeable to her.

🤥CP: "I heard he was nearby…"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, wait, this isn't about world news, but Jeff The Killer stuff. Nothing to be anxious about if you're real or just some fictional character who will clobber the heck out of him.

🤥CP: "You….You mean that killer?"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Bingo.

🤥CP: "Yeah, I saw it on the news! And it's all over the internet! Turns out he's near Janesville. That's where he supposedly lived."

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Huh? Janesville?

Well, there actually is a Janesville, Wisconsin But I just think it's pretty funny this place would get named considering Jane The Killer.

🤥CP: "But that's OUR town! You're just flaring with us now!"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Pretty much.

🤥CP: "No…No I heard about that too, she isn't flaring around. A lot of people on message boards and chat rooms like to talk about him. Not to mention all of those newspaper articles…and the media in general. He's practically everywhere these days."

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Not in the real media, he isn't. There is a lot of bullcrap in the real media, but Jeff The Killer doesn't even hold up well enough to qualify as propaganda.

🤥CP: "But…there ARE survivors, right? There was that little boy who survived. And that little girl! They were part of an interview story, remember?"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: I don't recall a little girl in a pasta interview story. The little boy, yes.

🤥CP: "That's the thing…rumor has it…that around a week or so after they were interviewed…they went missing."

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Rumor has it, that's the key. If they were really missing, there would be an investigation. A search.

🤥CP: "What!? …No way…"

"Yup. It looks like Jeff refuses to leave any survivors…"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: He never intends to, but he doesn't always get his way.

Liu doesn't die. but he becomes Jeff's accomplice.

Jane Arkensaw turns against him but doesn't go quite far enough. If I was her, I'd trash the mask, a gift from Jeff.

Jane Arkensaw's boyfriend Callum fights with Jeff.

Detective Reggie Hurbrow

Nameless girl whose little sister and parents were slaughtered

🤥CP: … Jeff….

Jeff the Killer… that's what he was titled. A rather silly name, not very creative…but it got the point across, most definitely.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: and makes some of us seriously irritated.

🤥CP: Janesville…Janesville, Wisconsin.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Real place name noted. Fictional characters live everywhere. Heh.

🤥CP: Where he was rumored to live before he lost his mind…and where he supposedly was, at this exact moment. ….But wait.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: He never had much in the way of a mind to begin with. And his residence is in New Jersey.

🤥CP: 'Why does that name…sound so familiar to me…' the girl thought, despite her nervousness. Jeff wasn't exactly an uncommon name, so feeling that the name was familiar wasn't a huge climactic surprise for her. No, it was just…there was something about that name that struck a chord with her. Almost as if…she KNEW someone by that name.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Uh-oh, is this leading up to her being some long lost relation or something? That would be Mary Sue.

🤥CP: Why couldn't she remember…?

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Because Jeff simply wasn't that important.

🤥CP: ….Right. Because she was completely exhausted. So, why didn't she just go to—

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Rolling eyes* Oh, now here he comes, I'll bet.

🤥CP: The girl froze underneath her blankets as she heard a soft 'creaaaak' echo throughout her once dead silent apartment.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Since it is November, that could be just the heat coming on.

🤥CP: ….What was that?

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Didn't I just say?

🤥CP: It wasn't like she had any pets, and it couldn't have been somebody in the hallway. No…No, it definitely wasn't anybody in the hall way. It sounded like the creak came from HER floorboard, nothing else. But…that was impossible. She was obviously the only one inside the room, and she hadn't moved a muscle. Nothing seemed to have fallen over, her door was-

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Let me guess, the door was once shut and now it isn't. Right? The floorboard crack, well, that could happen with the changing temps, humidity etc. and if it's a loud crash, a light fixture could have fallen.

🤥CP: ….Her…door was…

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Sigh*

🤥CP: The girl's eyes suddenly widened in realization. She….

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Could you just get the sentences out in one piece already? Because this isn't scaring me. It's making me annoyed. But that's because it's impossible for Jeff to scare me. He just ticks me off.

🤥CP: She didn't lock her front door before she went to bed.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Why?

🤥CP: As soon as this dawned on her, a heavy pressure could be felt pushing into her knees from on top of her comforter, and a smooth, cold metallic sensation was suddenly against the bare nape of her exposed neck….

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Scowl*

🤥CP: The girl whipped around with a start…and the width of her orbs only increased.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: O..M..G.. You actually said "orbs"? "ORBS"!? *GONG!*

🤥CP: There, sitting on top of her, his long blade pressed against her throat…was a male, not much older than she was by the looks of his body build. His long and black shaggy hair fell against his shoulders,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Uh-uh. Unless Jeff was wearing a wig, he wouldn't have long black shaggy hair. It would be short and brown if growing back in at all after the fire.

🤥CP: greasy bangs splashing against his forehead.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Eww, his bangs were so greasy that they splashed? Gross! Hahaha! Yeah Jeff, you're a stench face and greasehead all in one. So not beautiful.

🤥CP: His skin….His skin was as white as the alabaster stone, almost as if he had been dunked into paint…or bleach.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Look, I get it. and I already know about DA SMILE OF DOOOOOOOOOM, too! Still not impressed or scared. And I never will be.

🤥CP: He wore a rather dirty hoodie, the same color as his skin, with faded blue jeans and worn, soiled black sneakers.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah I'm sure he gets dirty often. And he never bathes.

🤥CP: His face, however.... It was almost as if hi s eyelids had been burnt off by something, or just so severely damaged that the eyes themselves were forced to stay open, his pupils…black; a deep, p iercing ebony hue that seemed to penetrate your very soul, your core.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: No. No eye pupils can penetrate a soul. That is that...

And it isn't even his pupils anyway, he's got mad black rings. Aw whatever. Black pupils, black rings, the whole gist of it is he's got cray-cray black eyes. Whatever. Typical Mary Sue stuff. Not scary. Very cliche and annoying.

And now you're going to get into another big song and dance about DA SMILE OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! *Rolling eyes*

How can you tell I've seen far too much made out of that stupid face-hackjob?

🤥CP: He seemed to have a nose, but judging by the damage of his skin, it had nearly been destroyed.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: So, a mangled nose that probably looks like more of a bump. Surely he still would've had his nostrils because without them he'd have to breathe through his mouth. A mouth-breather. Hahahaha!

🤥CP: The stare-worthy feature…was that smile.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Facepalm* How about simply glare-worthy? It's just a hack-job, not a real smile at all...

🤥CP: It stretched from ear to ear, scarred over at the seams. It appeared that whatever caused that never-ending smile had been a long while ago.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Not a never-ending smile. a hack job that went from ear to ear.., if you're going with the 2011 story. The original is a photoshop mask. Story of that look is Jeff slipped on soap while carrying a container of acid.

🤥CP: The girl could only stare silently..she did not scream, she did not cry out…she did not even tear up from the sheer fright of the moment. All she could do…was stare.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: As all some of us can do is glare.

🤥CP: The man seemed amused by this, despite the fact that he was unable to see her full features…just the outline of her face.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Well, since the blighter went rambling right over top of her from the foot end of the bed, he likely felt that she was scared even though she didn't call out. So yes, that would amuse the murdering brat.

🤥CP: "You're so quiet….." he lightly chuckled,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Glare* and you're so repulsive...

🤥CP: though that disturbing laughter was anything but filled with 'light',

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Glare* That annoying bratty laugh filled with bloodlust. But not the last to laugh.

🤥CP: "Are you already asleep…?"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Duh, Jeff, DUH! No! Who could sleep with you jumping all over her and the bed like a dog?

🤥CP: "……N-No…." The girl managed to speak up, kicking herself mentally for doing so. The man, hearing this, threw his deformed head back and laughed lo udly, hysterically…psychotically.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Like the obnoxious stupid brat he is. *Glare*

🤥CP: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHA!!!!! SO SHE SPEAKS!!! Quite a brave little girl, you are….most would be screaming by now…or sobbing…at least a little whimper would come out from their poor, unbeautiful lips~" he almost seemed to coo, teasing the young girl.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Glare* Teasing? Try terrorizing and taunting.

Still, guess who isn't scared?

🤥CP: Regardless, she held firm to …

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: To what?

🤥CP: "….Who are you…?" she softly asked, trying her best not to let her body start to shake in fear. It wasn't really the face that scared her (though she felt a bit deranged for knowing that fact), it was more of the tip of the knife that was slowly, painfully pressing into her neck, right near her jugular vein. No…the face didn't scare her. As a matter of fact, it seemed…nearly familiar to her. Maybe she saw a picture of on the computer…?

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: If she knew anything about this loser, she'd realize it was him or a reasonable facsimile. *Glares at Jeff and his stupid knife*

🤥CP: The infamous serial killer, hearing her puzzled tone, just grinned even wider…if that was even possible.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Well, the hack out wouldn't get any wider, only the part of the face that comprises an actual smile... *Contemptuous scowl at Jeff*

🤥CP: "Oh…I think you know who I am…don't you…"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Glares at Jeff* I know who you are, and you don't want me knowing who you are...

🤥CP: "…..That….serial killer?" she softly questioned. The man almost bounced on her legs in mock joy.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Doing the puppy dog thing again, Jeff, oh, grow up. Whoops, I forgot, you can't. *Sneer*

🤥CP: "DING DING DING! Why, it seems we have a winner!" he exclaimed,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Shut up, LOSER! *Glares at Jeff*

🤥CP: and the girl questioned why nobody was trying to break her door down as of yet… or call the police.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Because nobody knew she was in trouble. It's not as if Jeff sent out a bulletin saying which place he was about to hit beforehand.

🤥CP: She at least wanted to know that somebody was concerned about her,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Lack of awareness on the part of others doesn't mean lack of caring. they just didn't know she was in any danger.

🤥CP: especially if she died in the gruesome and brutal fashion that she only heard about in the internet forums and whispering voices.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Glares at Jeff*

🤥CP: "And it seems…." The man continued, slowly running the knife down her throat and acr oss her collarbone, heading down towards her breast and over her heart.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Drop it, Jeff! *Glare*

🤥CP: "That I will need to give you a prize…"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: and it seems, Jeff, that I need to give you a kick in the head!

🤥CP: "….A…prize…?"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Scowl* Don't ask. With this creep, it's not something you'll want.

🤥CP: "Why yes~ Don't you watch game shows, or have ever been to a carnival?"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Duh, Jeff! I'm pretty sure she knows what the word 'prize' means! Stupid sadistic brat! *Glare*

And you would not want to be featured at any game show or carnival if I was running it!

🤥CP: " And I know the perfect prize for you...an exclusive, one-way trip…."

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Hey hackhead! I wouldn't talk of one-way trips if I were you!

🤥CP: Here i t comes…..

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Glare intensifying*

🤥CP: "After all….you must be so tired…."

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Tired of you! Heck yeah!

🤥CP: The girl's eyes widened once again, knowing what was about to happen.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Glares at Jeff*

🤥CP: She silently whispered "goodbye" to her mother, her father….her friends…

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Headdesk* I get it!

🤥CP: convinced she would never see them again.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Look, I get it already! *Glares at Jeff*

🤥CP: But…at least, to her benefit…she will get to see the face of the man who killed her.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: How the heck is that to her benefit? The only benefit would be is if she wasn't killed...! *Facepalm*

🤥CP: Watch how he murdered her defenseless body…she will at least know how and when she died.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Uh, no, I really don't see how that's a benefit...

🤥CP: Like his unblinking eyes ….the girl would watch the entire thing.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: How? She'd be in too much pain and terror to just be calmly laying back and observing. *Glares at Jeff*

🤥CP: "Now…." Her future killer drawled, pulling the knife away for only a moment as he raised it up in the air, high above his head as his smile incr eased into a full maniacal grin, one that did not even need the carved monstrosity to do it.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: It never needed that hack, he was always an ugly, stupid, sadistic cuss!

🤥CP: "GO…..TO….SL E-"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Shut your stupid mouth, Jeff!

🤥CP: Before he could finish, the once closed blinds to the girl's apartment blew upward, the full extent of the moon's gentle rays blanketing ove r them both…revealing the girl's face to him.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: And that matters because? He killed his own parents and tried to kill a cousin already.

So no revelation of this girl as any sort of Jeff Mary Sue stripe is suddenly going to make this loser grow a conscience.

🤥CP: ….His smile disappeared. Even with the permanent grin, he seemed to frown in almost a shock…a bewildered, confused shock….. and recognition.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: The only reason he would even look like that is if he knew he failed, was caught, and was about to be executed.

Or at least he realized the police were on the way and he would have to duck out of there to avoid getting caught. this would mean he had to stop short of killing someone, and that would really tick him off.

🤥CP: The girl could only watch, her own puzzlement matching his own as he slowly backed away, slid towards her window and leaped out of it.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: So... Suddenly Jeff turned tail. See? It was something outside that made him run and not the girl at all.

🤥CP: The girl almost let out a loud gasp before she remembered that she lived on the first floor of the apartment…only a five foot drop.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: what the? If that was me, I'd wish I'd lived on the tenth floor. "Buh-bye, Jeff! Have a nice trip! Won't see ya next fall because there won't be one for you!" *Splat*

🤥CP: Only at that moment, when she heard her door being smacked down by another apartment neighbor, the sound of belated sirens echoing lou dly outside of her apartment complex, when she was able to feel the "pins and needles" of her formerly sat on legs begin to fade…did the girl allow herself to cry.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah, I know..........

But let me guess. Coward Jeff still got away.

🤥CP: -Around a few miles away f rom the apartment complex-

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Sigh*

🤥CP: Far enough and hidden in the thick darkness of an alley way, the deformed murderer known simply as "Jeff" paused to catch his breath, his rusted over knife now hidden away in one of his pockets.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Burning glare* But really, miles away? No. Try maybe a block away this soon after the attack. Jeff can't run with the speed of a subway car...

🤥CP: "F-(censored)....F(censored) S(censored)!!!" He let out a loud snarl,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Of course he did, foul-mouthed as ever. And mad that he almost got caught and couldn't follow through with another killing... *Glares at Jeff*

🤥CP: and a pale fist collided with the brick wall, stone still moist from a night before's thunderstorm,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Hah! do that again, Jeff, and make it a lot harder! *Claps*

🤥CP: S(censored)...looked like there was a small dent, and his hand looked like it might be broken.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Hey Jeff! Bang it again to be sure!

🤥CP: He WAS planning to kill off her parents- they were those annoying hippy-like people-,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Which makes no sense. I thought this girl had her own apartment. Or maybe he planned to hit theirs after he was done with her. whatever.

And why hippies? It's not as if Jeff would even care what kind of people they were. He gets off killing parents. He killed his own, he killed Jane Arkensaw's, and now he blundered into the wrong place, thinking this girl's parents would be there for him to kill. So don't give me this about him being shocked over getting the wrong person, because this conscienceless lackwit couldn't give a dart. What he does to one person, he can do to all.

🤥CP: They f(censored) LEFT their kid ALONE?

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: No, and watch your mouth. Unless he meant to hit a different residence instead, there was no little girl. If there had been, Jeff would've killed her too, or at least injured her horribly after killing her parents.

This was a single apartment with one occupant. So all this talk of parents and a little girl must mean he was about to hit another building.

Of course, this "little girl" and parents could be the little sis and parents to the one in the apartment. Or from a completely unrelated attack.

These parent-hating Jeff people, honestly. *Rolling eyes*

🤥CP: What was she, barely nine or ten or- S(censored),

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: I don't know what girl you're on about, but last I checked, s*** was not a number.

So, what's worse, parents leaving their kid home alone, or a sadistic twist hacking up people for giggles and kicks? Hum. Pretty sure it's the latter!

🤥CP: Dad was actually RIGHT about careless they were. If he was still h ere when they got home, oh....did THEY have a surprise waiting for them...

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Glowers at Jeff*

🤥CP: ....The sounds of police sirens growing louder echoed, and Jeff slid deeper into the alley crack, pressing his back against the wall.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Because like the coward he is, now he's got to hide...

🤥CP: The sounds of laughter coming from behind him made him glance slightly, eyes grazing over another apartment complex and a lone light on the first floor. His grin increased.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: So he hears laughter and thinks it's funny? No. Screams are what make him laugh.

Other than laughter sounding in his own stupid head, there is no reason for there to be any laughter at all.

🤥CP: Looks like...letting loose some steam would do him some good.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: I don't care or want what's good for Jeff, because what's good for him is bad for anyone else. So he can just cry over having his murder attempt interrupted.

🤥CP: It was WAY past someone's bedtime.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah, his.
