Incomplete Story Memes That Promise Magic Results For Sharing

Incomplete story memes.

You may have received one or a few, or seen them reposted on web sites.

If you have, chances are good you may also have forgotten about them. They're not all that common as far as chain letters go, but they're out there.

They are supposedly mysterious stories that tell you to forward them to more people or else you won't get the rest of the story.

The truth is, there is no rest of the story unless you make it up yourself, or read the endings MTM has written for them.

The demands in these ridiculous chain letters go like this.

* * *

One forward about a girl named Maggie and a boyfriend turned stalker leaves off with:

πŸ™Žβ€β™‚οΈ"Want to find out what happens to Maggie? If you send this to~~1-6 people~ 1 paragraph will be sent to you 6~11 people~ 1/2 the story will be sent to you 11~20 people~ The whole story! And, don't ask me how, this story continued will get sent to you! It worked for me, and I don't know how...come"

πŸ§β€β™€οΈOh, really? If you got the whole story, why not be considerate and send the whole story instead of this chain letter with only part of it? Because nobody has the ending. The "It worked for me and I got the whole story" line is a lie, like everything else in these chain letters.

Meme mangled!

Another one about a girl named Jenny who is sent mysterious chat messages and is told to look in her closet, leaves off:

πŸ™Ž"Sorry to ruin the fun for you, but if you wanna know what happens next you have to send it to *0-5 people~ You to know what she sees in the closet *6-10 people~ You find out 1/4 of the rest of the story *11-15 people~ You find out 1/2 of the rest of the story *16-20 people~ You find out the REST of the story! The WHOLE darn thing!

BUT: You have to send it to that amout of people and the rest of the story will be e-mailed to you shortly! Just hang tight! Pass along this story within the next hour or..."

πŸ§β€β™€οΈYeah, right, and up is really down.

Meme mangled!

Maggie, Justin, Jenny two mysterious forwards combined into one completed story.

The one called Incomplete IM Horror Story tells recipients to:

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ"FORWARD this to 12 or more people and the rest of this *TRUE* story will appear on your screen! Goodluck!"

πŸ§β€β™€οΈAnd how many dogs have been taught to meow lately?

Meme mangled, story completed.

The Casey story chain says:

πŸ‘§πŸ»"*If you would like to hear the end of this *true* story send this to

5 people- I sentence will come
10 people- half of the ending will come
15 people- the entire ending will come

*Send this within 2 days or nothing at all will come"

πŸ§β€β™€οΈAnd snakes fly.

cTwo Casey chains mangled, story completed.

"What's In The Old Lady's Container?" The story about the old lady's container says:

πŸ‘΅"To find out what was inside the container you must send it to at least 8 people. When the computer says your mail has been sent, hit ALT-8 and the container will pop up on your screen. Do This! Its hysterical!! It works!!

I HAD TO SEND THIS ONE! YOU'LL SEE WHY AT THE END."

πŸ§β€β™€οΈI can tell you what was in that old lady's container - human crap. And this whole claim about forwarding getting you the rest of anything is just that - crap. Same for that other myth this chain letter touts about old people eating pet food because they're poor. Pet food costs more than the food we buy for ourselves.

Chain mangled! Punchline of bad joke so revolting that it quashed all notions of adding anything else to properly end the story.

πŸ˜Ύβ“"But what if it could happen??"

πŸ§β€β™€οΈwell, no. To start with, None of the stories are true. You can be pretty sure that whenever a chain letter forward tells you "This is TRUE!" or "This is not a chain letter!" it is a bald-faced lie.

Second, you will never get more of a story by forwarding an incomplete one..

The forward button in your email client and the share buttons on your social network, do only one thing, forward/share. Forwarding anything will never set off any additional function in an email program or aweb site. All it will do is forward what you have to whom ever you select. Technology is wonderful, but it isn't magic, and simply forwarding to x number of people will never reveal more of any story a friend sent you in a forward, or make a cool video appear.

You can write your own additions to any such story, and read what is added to them by following their respective links on this page.
