Peta

And it is not just Peta, not by a long shot.

Take a look at what a UK animal rights group does. a "die-in"?

No kidding, they call their obstruction of traffic in the name of animal liberation a "die-in".

Why don't they go march on some lion prides, wolf packs, seal herds etc. and try to stop them from slaughtering other animals for food? Nope, that kind of agony and death is absolutely fine because another wild animal gets to eat the meat. Gigantic Green Chain Letter

Animal activism and eco/green/environmentalism go hand in hand, with misanthropy at their core.

Animal welfare is ar-light - so may eat meat and feed it to their animals, but sides with Peta, HSUS and other activist groups on issues like ending pet shops, opposing animal breeding, experimentation or the keeping of large breed dogs and exotic pets.

Animal Rescue

Think animal rescue is warm, fuzzy, and compassionate?

"Animal rescuers" routinely slag the heck out of pet shops, animal breeders, and pet owners, as well as potential pet owners as "animal abusers!"

But they also slag other "rescues" similarly.

The term "DNA" is not the scientific term normal people are used to. It is animal "rescuer" shorthand for "DO NOT ADOPT!" which means blacklisting someone from acquiring animals. They believe animals are little fur people so should be "adopted" rather than sold/bought and owned. And if you are on one of their "DNA" lists, they have singled you out as a totally horrible person who should never go anywhere near animals. Oh, and if you should get hurt by an animal or have some kind of accident, too bad, your own fault, you got what you deserved.

No, the world of "animal rescue" is not warm and fuzzy feel-good.

It's a vicious dog-eat-dog jungle where anyone can turn on you in a second flat, over an innocent picture post, a misspoken word, or post with the kind of wording that can have its meaning misconstrued and twisted so that someone can be vilified.

Voices Of Liars And Trolls I can't even put into words how sick this is.

When one of their own dies, "animal rescuers" jump at the chance to peck and claw at one another. They even mention the dead woman's nastiness.

Poodie In Their Hands More posturing and snobbery.

Animal Rights/welfare "rescue" Trolls Fancy Themselves Poets and it's anything but warm and fuzzy.

Kim Wilson shows just how out of touch animal rights activists can be. She apparently believes everything from "Faces Of Death" is true.

"Animal Rescuers"' Trolling Frenzy

Animal Rescue Chain Letter One of the "rescuers" at the time all of this crud was going on, posted a chain letter with the same typical "I'm better because I'm an animal rescuer!" attitude.

The following two trolls would fit right in with "Voices" above.

Eve Franks is an animal rights troll who, like other trolls, is in love with cancer. She also got mostly great reactions. She actually wishes cancer on someone for telling a joke.

Luke Ligar Z really has the animal rights spirit. He laughs with glee at a news report about a freak accidental shooting of a hunter that put him in the hospital.

Not only is all of this stuff good reason to avoid "animal rescues", but it must suck to be one as well.

Once in a while, someone actually has their eyes opened and makes an about-face.

A couple of years after the horrific stuff above, one of them apparently had a change of heart and had bowed out by the time Pretty Little Bed-wetting Nightmare barged into mailing lists and inboxes with harassment and chain letters.

πŸ”†

Pretty Nasty Little Bed-wetting Nightmare A troll and animal activist got it into her head to try converting people to her way of thinking by spamming their email with unwanted propaganda chain letters and other nuisanse messages.

Nightmare got a 100% fail-rate! Reactions to her spew were great.

The right way to react:

Some great examples of appropriate reactions are seen above in "Eve Franks", "Kim Wilson", "Pretty Little Bed Wetting Nightmare" and the Twitter scuffle Peta instigated.

Here are more. Some are meme-mangles, others are articles, some are jokes, and some are foe fiction.

Oh, and if anyone wants to comment, don't do the stale old joke memes. that was worth a bit of a small chuckle years ago when I first heard it, but it's a meme. I've seen it reposted way too many times on discussions about animal rights fanaticism. It's old stinky shoe now.
