Amy Bruce, The Hoax Kid Who's Never Too Sick To Travel!

OH NO! Not her, not again!

Amy Blamy Shamy Bruce!

Amy Bruce, the fictitious sick kid has been a dying 7 year old since way back in 1999!

Amy Blamy Shamy Bruce came on the scene in July 1999.

She wasn't on her own for long. many more joined up, hoping to cash in with her on the huge virtual fortune and all that wonderful sympathy pouring in from people world wide.

18-year-old Jeff de Leon showed up in January 2000 to share Amy Bruce's sob-story.

23-year-old Rhyan Desquetado joined the Amy Bruce contingent in August 2000.

8-year-old LaNisha Jackson joined the Amy Bruce crew in December 2000 and she was still going strong in July 2001.

15-year-old Kayla Wightman of Ware Shoals, S.C. barged onto the scene to join Amy Bruce's fraud operation in October 2004

7-year-old Chad Briody, 21-year-old Brian warner, (not to be confused with the real Brian Warner better known as Marilyn Manson,) joined Amy Bruce's crooked operation in late Mar. 2006.

23-year-old Matt Dawson signed up for Amy Bruce's social vampire cyber-money bilking outfit in July 2006. 17-year-old brian david, whose brain was so fried he couldn't remember what his own name was, joined in April 2007.

20-year-old Ahmad Khaled joined in February 2008.

19-year-old Mia Heyns signed up in April 2008.

7-year-old Amirtha (another rendition of the name Amy?) joined in January 2009.

So why is it that of all these bogus people, it is Amy who has the most staying power? She never really goes away even though she's so well-travelled.

Most of the others made their appearances and then were rarely if ever heard from again. It is Amy who keeps coming back for more.

Speculations are that Amy Bruce did not want to share the cyber cash and sympathy with all the others, so once they had raked in their share, Amy Bruce got greedy. She cut and run with the whole lot, taking all the spoils and leaving all other social vampires in the dust.

Amy Bruce has traveled the world, going as far abroad as Malta in 2008, and barging into Sault Ste-Marie Ontario Canada.

Each place Amy strikes, she makes a fraudulent claim of citizenship there, and causes endless trouble for at least some people who fall for her sick hoax.

When people share her apparently touching yet bogus tale, and their own information is sent along with it, they can eventually be mistaken for the one who actually started the hoax. This happened to at least two people with this hoax. The article on Times Of Malta, and When BreakTheChain.org was still up and running, it cited two cases of this happening.

This Sault STe-Marie article has someone from the Make A Wish Foundation in Canada weighing in on the hoax.

Make A Wish Fraud AlertsMake A Wish does not honour, use, or depend on chain letters to do its work helping real people.

Amy Bruce took Facebook by storm again in late September 2011.

Amy Bruce Is Fake, Charities Are Real.

The 2011 version sometimes begins with a huge piece of attempted emotional abuse that caused enough unnecessary stress to get posted on Yahoo Answers.

This person asks "Exactly what pleasure do people get from creating these ridiculous Internet and e-mail hoaxes?"

The very same kind of pleasure some school kids get out of making other kids cry. It is all about having a sense of power and control over others and simply having an evil, sadistic nature. Social parasites, social vampires if you will.

The questioner reposted Amy Bruce as the example, then went on to

"There is absolutely no way on earth for a charity or anyone else to benefit from the simple passing on of a message or e-mail. Why do today's teens find these things amusing? In many cases, the child referred to does not even exist. If you check the Hoax Slayer site, there are literally hundreds of Facebook hoaxes. Do today's young people really have nothing better to do with their lives?"

Because some are naive and don't know any better, and others know full well it's a hoax and think it's funny to spread it and sadden or annoy other people. But sadly, it isn't just teens who fall for and spread the amy Bruce chain and others like it. Some adults, especially those new to the net or rather slow to learn to kick the forwarding habit are very likely to get sucked in by a sick kid hoax.

Now, it's time for me to weigh in on this and give Amy Blamy Shamy Bruce/whoever started the hoax and whoever restarts it in subsequent reappearances and mutations an earful.

Look out, Amy Blamy Shamy Bruce, now that I've spent so much time talking about your sick hoax to other people to warn them away from getting emotionally consumed by you, my full attention is now on you, and you're not going to like it. Your hoax in the mutations I've seen is getting pulverized. Yes, including that preamble you put into one of the 2011 mutations. I'm not the only one very annoyed by it.

I'm taking a hatchet to this hoax!

💩Meme: Subject: A 7 year old cancer patient

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Not the sort of email or post you want to get from people is it? Especially if you're having a great day and then suddenly *BOOM!* Somebody drops a huge downer on it. Or, you could already be feeling crappy and seeing this subject line on a post just makes it even worse.

Along with the initial sinking feeling comes the dread. 'Oh no, another cause I'm supposed to put my life on hold for and I don't even know any kid with cancer. Could someone please tell me why I bothered getting on the net at all?'

Unfortunately cancer is one of the most popular chain letter topics, nothing can render an unsuspecting and sensitive person helpless against a mindnapping quite like the big cancer stick, and boy oh boy, do hoaxers like Amy Blamy Shamy Bruce take advantage!.

💩Meme: If you delete this then shame on you!

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *THIS* is one of the biggest reasons I hate chain letters, especially this type so very much!

An easily overwhelmed, sensitive person will feel about 2 inches tall just at reading this, and they'll think they have absolutely no choice but avoid the delete button and do whatever the chain letter tells them from here on out.

Some newbies may even believe this was actually written by their friend, and that their friend will be mad at them for deleting it. I was a newbie once too, and I remember how forwards duped me similarly during my early internet days.

The line could have been added by some random forwarder, but then again, it could've been put there by the originator of this rotten hoax, we'll never know. But it is nothing short of bullying via emotional coercion, and those of us who are jaded and tough enough to see it, get seriously irritated and do not take kindly to insults and character assassination from some anonymous coward who wants us passing on some bogus heart-yank sob-story.

👦🏿👦🏻👦🏾Chad Briody Brian Warner Matt Dawson's Memes: If you don't believe it, call the number.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: The number, was nixed ut on the hoax-busting sites to save some innocent person or business from being inundated with calls about this hoax. What a dirty trick for you to pull, giving out some number in the hopes of giving some hapless victim of your hoax no peace!

👦🏿👦🏻👦🏾Chad Briody Brian Warner Matt Dawson: Everyone needs to take the time and read this.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You'll be sorry I did.

👦🏿👦🏻👦🏾Chad Briody Brian Warner Matt Dawson: Just take a break from all your other stupid bulletins about who is gonna die

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Because your hoax claiming YOU are gonna die is most important, right…

👦🏿👦🏻👦🏾Chad Briody Brian Warner Matt Dawson: or if your love life will suck for 7 years

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, those get mangled too. You are about to join their ranks.

👦🏿👦🏻👦🏾Chad Briody Brian Warner Matt Dawson: and be serious and do the right thing.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You just told me to do exactly what I'm about to do. Seriously do the right thing and mangle this hoax meme to pieces.

👦🏿👦🏻👦🏾Chad Briody Brian Warner Matt Dawson: Repost this or you have no soul seriously.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Wrong, you bullying liar. It is YOU who are without a soul, or at least without a conscience, and your trying to insult and guilt-trip me and others into reposting your stupid bulletin or whatever you call it is - well, you can expect one heck of a bad attitude coming right at you from me. Consider this your first and last warning. I seriously detest people who play on other's emotions and kindness for some sick dishonest purpose!

👦🏿👦🏻👦🏾Chad Briody Brian Warner Matt Dawson: A kid needs our help so do the right thing.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Lots of kids need help, but none of them are getting it from your stupid hoax. The right thing is to debunk it, which is why hoax-busting sites are here. Another right thing is to take it a step further and mangle such chain letter hoaxes, which might eventually, hopefully give any readers who come across it a sense of relief that they need not feel guilty or let anonymous cowards like you insult and coerce them into passing on your crud. Along with this, the realization that it is perfectly fine to lash back and laugh at you for being such a lying traitor as well as pathetic.

Yes, I said 'traitor' because when people find out they've wasted their compassion, tears, prayers on your fictitious dying kids, and some have actually forwarded your claims, only to find out it is all a bunch of hogwash, you have betrayed their trust and they have every right to be seriously ticked off at you.

💩Meme: Subj: Fwd: cancer (dont delete..please)

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Again, who wants to see this on their FB wall or in their inbox?

💩Meme: 15 year old girl holds hands with her 1 year old son. People call her a "slut",

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Actually no, for one thing, not everybody who sees a 15 year old girl with a baby automatically assumes she's the baby's mother. Even if she was, what the heck would make you think she's a slut? Just for holding a baby's hand? Chick, go back to whatever warped planet you hail from and never come back. You're stupid.

I held hands with lots of babies when I was that age and no one ever called me a slut, and anyone who knows me, knows I am not , never have been, and never will be a slut. So there goes your idea, shot to heck.

💩Meme: no one knows she was raped at age 14.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Scowl* This is why I hate chain letters so much. You're always trying to give everybody a big psychological, emotional wallop over the head with downers, hypothetical and absolutely bogus ones at that. You're bringing rape into this makes you particularly cruel and heartless.

Yes, rape does happen. And you are trivializing what happens to reall people to batter us all emotionally to get us spreading your sickening, tasteless, pants-on-fire dreck! You don't care about anyone, and you'll use everybody's sense of compassion against them just to get your twisted goal accomplished and the depths to which you'll go knows NO bounds!

Now let's talk about your sad girl for a moment.

You got the numbers wrong.

It takes 9 months to have a baby.

So she would've had to be 13 when she was raped, in order to hold hands with her 1-year-old son at 15. If the abuse had occurred when she was 14, she would be holding her 1-year-old's hand when she was 16, not 15.

Another question I have about this: why would no one know she was raped? She'd have to be someone literally nobody knows from a hole in the ground, therefore, nobody would know that baby was her son, therefore, no one would get the boneheaded idea that she's a slut. If this girl knows anybody at all, then somebody would know she was raped, certainly her behaviour would suggest something was wrong, particularly if she was behaving like anything but a slut.

💩Meme: People call another guy "fat", no one knows he has a serious disease causing him to be overweight.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah, fat lot YOU care. Anyway, I am sick to the back teeth with people picking on others because of weight or anything else appearance related, and sick of the food-cop agenda being touted all over the place. But that has nothing to do with the fact this is still a sickening hoax meme.

And yes, I knew someone who was overweight because of a medical condition and side effects of medication. The condition was cancer BTW, so are you satisfied? I'm sure you'll be thrilled to know my friend has passed on...:(

💩Meme: People call an old man "ugly", no one knows he experienced a serious injury to his face while fighting for our country in the war.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, right, well, not satisfied with heart-yanking the heck out of the female gender, you can always reel in the patriotic crowd, after all, you know as well as I do that they're always spreading "Save our country!" "Support our troops!" etc. memes.

Yeah, I'm on to you and I'm not buying it.

First of all, there are more than just physical injuries that can be seen in war veterans, some are invisible to the eye, these would be the psychological and emotional scars, which, you are in fact trying to create more of by making people feel bad so they'll spread your insidious hoax.

Second, look, he's been through the war, and anybody who knows him, would know that, and why he got those injuries, so they wouldn't sit around, picking their noses and pointing their snotty fingers at him "Nana-nana-boo-boo! Look at da ugly old man!"

💩Meme: Re-post this if you are against bullying and stereotyping.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Ahem! *Dark glare* Excuse me, EXCUSE ME!?

You're accusing me of not being against bullying and stereotyping based on the fact that I WILL NOT repost your stupid downer-ridden hoax!

You know what this makes you guilty of?

BULLYING!

Yes, YOU!

YOU, are a bully!

And you are getting nowhere fast with me, except landing in a cyber ditch!

💩Meme: I bet 88 of you won't,the other 22 arent heartless and will.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: I bet you thought you sounded really smart with that bogus statement, well, you didn't.

For one thing, you are deliberately confusing intelligence and individualism with stupidity, and compassion with gullibility, and you're just hoping everyone else will too.

You don't know everyone, and if you created a poll where 80 people said they wouldn't spread your hoax, I don't know about it.

The reason you made up this stat is because you want to make people believe the majority of people won't forward it, and that automatically makes them fine and dandy with bullying and stereotyping. The reason you put your insulting idea in your majority group is to get people thinking "OMG, I'm in the minority! I've absolutely gotta gotta gotta show I'm one of the big people, I must fight bullying and stereotyping and save poor little innocent Amy Bruce with this chain letter, NOW!"

The only thing you said that rings true even for you, is that you apparently figured out that 88+22 = 100.

Wow! You get a sticker for that.

A big, black eye sticker!

No, I don't hand out gold stars to bullying hoaxers.

😼Amirtha's Meme: Subject: Please respond....ASAP....Amirtha..

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Or you'll what? Die?

😼Amirtha: DEAR FRIEND,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: I am not your friend.

😼Amirtha: PLEASE SEND THIS MESSAGE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU CAN.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: And waste my time contributing to slowing up the net with this junk as if I believed it? No way.

😼Amirtha: WE CAN SAVE A LITTLE ANGEL GIRL LIFE.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, pass me a bucket. how drippy can you get? "angel girl life" Dry up before I give you a cyber smackdown!

😼Amirtha: THANK U

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You're not welcome.

😼Amirtha: GOD BLESS

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: DON'T YOU dare GIVE ME THAT!

💩Meme: 7 yr old with Cancer (this child is local)

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Local to where? A town in Malta, somewhere in New Zealand? Salt STE-Marie Ontario? Rosebush Michigan?

💩Meme: from Rosebush, MI

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: What? Did you get tired of, or better yet, drummed out of Salt STE-Marie and Malta?

Putting all the mutations collected here into one account, it makes the read a bit interesting and laughable.

😈Amy Bruce: Hi, my name is Amy Erik Bruce Jeff de Leon Rhyan Desquetado LaNisha Jackson Kayla Wightman Chad Briody Brian Warner Matt Dawson Brian David Ahmad Khaled Mia Heyns Amirtha. I am 7 18 23 8 15 7 21 23 7 years old, and I am 7yrs old and I have severe lung cancer from second hand smoke. I also have a large tumor in my brain, from repeated beatings and I have a large tumor on my brain and severe lung cancer.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah Amy, if you really were seven, you wouldn't know how to spell most of this bogus letter. But - you're not *really* seven, other than mentally, it takes a special kind of immature and stupid to start a hoax.

you don't get tumours from beatings. To get severe lung cancer in just seven years, it would take much more than being exposed to second-hand smoke. Your propaganda story is false.

😈Amy Bruce: The doctors say I will die soon if this isn't fixed,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, really Amy, you fail miserably here. what doctor in his right mind would go up to a seven-year-old little girl and say "Oh, you're gonna die if this isn't fixed." ? They just don't treat patients so callously, especially not little children. Doctors usually talk to the parents first if a terminal condition is discovered, but nobody just flatly says to a little kid "You're gonna die." like it's nothing.

I find it interested that you referred to yourself as wanting to be 'fixed' rather than 'treated' or 'cured. What are you, Amy, a porcelain doll?

😈Amy Bruce: and my family can't pay the bills.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Wait, hold up. What? Okay amy, explain this. I would assume it is your family that's been giving you the beatings and the second hand smoke lung cancer. And they apparently can't manage their money or something.

But here's my question. If they've been giving you tumor-causing repeated beatings and smoked out lungs, why the heck do they suddenly want to save you now? See Amy, your story just ain't adding up.

😈Amy Bruce: The Make A Wish Foundation of America has agreed to 2 donate 7 cents Grosh $7 £7 for 4 every name on this list. for 4 every time this message is sent on.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: utter pants-on-fire lying bullcrap.

The Make A Wish Foundation not only debunks and denies your hogwash claim, they are not a cancer treatment centre or hospital. They do what their name says, "Make A Wish" meaning they try to grant wishes to the gravely and terminally ill. Wishes like for sick children to meet their favourite celebrities, visit places that are really special to the sick people in question etc.

No legitimate charity or other organization uses and relies on chain letters to get anything done. Not Make A Wish, not the American Cancer Society, none.

Besides, wouldn't that be tough luck for you if the hospital did try to save you with chain letters and couldn't, due to lack of circulated and recirculated forwards flying around, clogging the net?

What these hoaxes are actually doing is wasting valuable time and resources of charities and anyone else who gets their name falsely attributed to hoax-creation. Make A Wish and the ACS have had to field calls about these faux sick kids, and unfortunate forwarders have learned the hard way that having their email signatures or Facebook info available and tied to a copy of one of these chains can result in tons of calls and emails from people about the hoax.

Then there's this burning question, amy:

As this Youtuber asks, why you? Out of all the sick people in the world, what makes you think you're so important that Make A Wish or any other charity should put you over and above all the rest? Why would they?

So, your extortion racket went from 7 cents per forward to 7$ and then £7, I can certainly see why a someone like you would want to raise the amount, after all, if you could make a small virtual fortune by suckering people with this chain, you would certainly try for a much bigger haul eventually.

Obviously it isn't real money, it's cyber stuff, and no real charity is involved.

But it sure as heck explains all that world travel you've been doing on the net since 1999, doesn't it?

Yes, this just in: the shocking truth is revealed! Amy Bruce is making a killing and is not the poor little innocent girl so many people were lead to believe.

😈Amy Bruce: For 4 those of you who fwd send this along, I thank you so much,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah right, not happening, and you're not welcome. Besides, unlike probably a bunch of people who fall for this, I'm not motivated by premature expressions of gratitude, especially when they're fake and only used as a manipulation attempt.

😈Amy Bruce: but for those who don't send it, what goes around comes around.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Wow, Amy, what a humanitarian! Yeah, know what you just said? You actually wish for me to get sick if I don't forward your stupid chain letter. real nice, amy, real nice…

Oh, the easily blindsided by this thing might get all worked up, actually convinced that these are prophetic words and that they might get sick because of it one day, and deserve to for failing to forward this fruitcake story of yours, but I'm on to you, bullying, manipulative little demon, and I'm not playing! You are truly disgusting, playing on people's emotions like that! Shame on YOu!

😈Amy Bruce: I will still pray for you 4u

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, I'll just bet you would, you'd pray that I'd keel over and die in a fit of guilt and shame for refusing to spread your insidious hoax!

If you really were so sick you'd be praying for recovery and wellness.

I notice you didn't specifically say which deity you were even going to pray to, and that's good. If you had said God, that would earn you even more contempt from me, if that's even possible. Your prayer is phoney at any rate.

To sum it up, don't give me this praying stuff…The rest of your big lie is bad enough.

🙃Lanisha Jackson: God bless you just the same.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH! Don't use God to try guilt-tripping me into spreading your lies via show of insincere blessing wishes. This is extremely passive-aggressive and it's just as bad as the outright insults! Dragging God into this makes you guilty of blasphemy as well. Not cool, not cool at all!

😈Amy Bruce: anyway This is not a joke.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh? Certainly from where YOU sit, it is. The rest of us don't think it's funny at all, and we all have different reasons not to laugh.

You're the one twisted enough to make up a dying kid sob story, weave a lie about a charity into it, insult and threaten everyone who doesn't pass on your disgusting phoney baloney, and I'll just bet you laugh your great puerile butt off every time you see your stupid hoax duping people with every new wave of circulation!

To you, it is indeed a joke.

To the rest of us, it is a sickening fraud!

😈Amy Bruce: Please, if you are a kind person,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, don't pull that on me! You prey on people's kindness and trust. you use it against them to make them do your bidding. You, Amy, are NOT a kind person…

😈Amy Bruce: have a heart.
Kayla Wightman: please. If you don't send this to everyone on your list you have a cold heart.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: That's a real chortle, this coming from the likes of YOU!

Oh, yes, I do have a heart, which is why I'm trying to do everyone a favour by tearing your amoral, deceitful piece of garbage to shreds!

😈Amy Bruce: Please, please, PLEASE HIT THE FORWARD BUTTON.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: So if I don't, that means I'm not a kind person? NO, WRONG! Don't try that angle on me.

😈Amy Bruce: Please put this as your status for an hour.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: No. And why an hour? How does one even do that? Post it and delete it after an hour? Or, more likely, you want me to sit at my computer and repost the Amy Bruce sob-con as many times as possible, for an entire hour! Nothing doing, brat!

😈Amy Bruce: please send this. to everyone on your buddy list.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: No, no, no, no, and did I say, no? No, Amy Bruce, that is, NO!

😈Amy Bruce: ~thanxs~

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: you're not welcome!

😈Amy Bruce: come on ppl put this as ur status for an hour.. send this on. @---->------

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: NO!

😈Amy Bruce: PLEASE HIT FORWARD BUTTON NOT REPLY BUTTON.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You've been pushing buttons with this rubbish hoax for years now. And I'll hit whatever button I please, or not hit any at all.

😈Amy Bruce: Thank you,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: forget the attempt at looking sweet, innocent and Godly with this "faithfully" stuff, the only thing that's all too faithful about you is that you keep coming back to emotionally bleed people dry. Your brand of faithful is the same faithful that governs living creatures, causing them to eat and take dumps.

Yes, Amy. You who started this hoax and have laughed so hard for so long at everyone you conned into spreading your hoax, we are laughing at you.

And one more thing, just in case you've missed it:

Amy Bruce, whoever and however many of them you are, I don't like you. I really, REALLY don't like you!

Yahoo question: Write a story that ends with 'if i knew she was that kind of friend, i would'n't have gone out with her'?

Answer from 🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf:

Amy Bruce was a popular girl. One boy, Jeff de Leon secretly liked her but didn't believe he had a hope of going out with her until a school dance. He got up the nerve to ask her, and to his surprise, Amy said she would be his date.

After that, they dated a few more times, and Amy even invited Jeff to attend some meetings she had with some of the other popular kids in their club after school.

This club seemed to be a charity operation, where Amy expected her friends to go out and collect money, and to give ample amounts from their own money as well, to save a life. Amy didn't have a picture of the person and said she couldn't utter the name, because she was too close to this person and choked up every time she was about to talk about her.

This went on several more times, the dating, the meetings, the going around to neighbors and putting out solicitations for money to save this mysterious person, until one day, Amy didn't show up for school.

Jeff de Leon asked a teacher if she knew where amy was, and to his surprise, the teacher said Amy would be away for a while, she was going on a cruise.

"But what about our club meetings? What about the person she was trying to save? Don't tell me she died."

The teacher looked perplexed. "It's the first I've heard of it." she said.

Later that day, discussion at the club revealed the members to be just as confounded.

A day later, Jeff was watching videos on the net in his spare time, and came upon one that shocked him.

It was Amy Bruce on the cruise ship, talking about how wonderful it was, and then she started gloating about how she suckered all her friends into paying for it. "A special thanks goes out to Jeff de Leon, the dork who gave the most out of all of them.

Jeff clicked out of the video in dismay, muttering furiously, "if i knew she was that kind of friend, i would'n't have gone out with her"
