Obnoxious Stupid Bogus MADD Petition Chain With Absolutely Lousy Poem

Oh, no!

It's that horrid, melodramatic, utterly deceptive chain letter petition against drinking and driving that is actually not from MADD.

It is horribly written by some fictitious dying kid. The poem is thought to be titled "Death of an Innocent but the writer is unknown as is the originator of the whole rotten meme.

It seriously ticked me off the first time it sloshed and bled into my inbox, annoyed me even more with subsequent returns, and the blasted thing still preys on people's emotions, years later!

It isn't the only one of its kind.

Near The Door is another similar meme with an equally dreary poem and stupid hoax that demands that people re-share. In addition, it tells a big lie, claiming not to be a chain letter.

Dead Reckoning about Jenny, is another dying teen drink and drive poem that gets trounced here.

The bogus MADD petition meme is full of absolutely drippy stuff. One of the most offensive things in it is where this dying kid moans on about how "someone should have taught him" not to drink and drive, making a jab and blame game of it all, blaming the parents of the drunk driver!

EXCUSE ME! But:

It isn't the parents fault their kid got drunk and drove. That would've been the kid's decision, even if the parents taught him better. Kids DO actually disobey their parents in such things! So don't put everything all on the parents, as if there wouldn't already be more than enough badness to be felt going around after something like that!

Other things to show it is written by someone way too eager to sucker readers into their sick game of passing on the sad sap, is that it is completely unrealistic because it tries far too hard to be a heart-breaker.

Besides the terrible blunder mentioned in the above, being the assumption that the drunk driver wasn't properly taught by the parents, the other things wrong include this dying kid hearing paramedics saying "This girl is going to die." Talk about an absolute glaring error! They don't even do that on TV!

The other thing that really sizzles my socks is when memes use coercion via character assassination to try shaming people into spreading them. This meme is one of those. It judges you as having selfishness that knows no bounds if you delete it instead of spamming your friends with this awful drither.

I am not the only one annoyed by this meme and others like it, as this excellent Youtube video shows.

If you want to send a message not to drink and drive, don't use this or any other meme to do it. Here's a confession video by Natt Cordle instead. He's a real person who has to live with the fact his drinking and driving killed someone, for the rest of his life.

Now, let's clobber this bogus MADD petition meme, with impunity!

--
👹Meme: We are hoping to get 5,000 signatures and then give it to the President. If you get this pledge and delete it, your selfishness knows no bounds.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: AHEM!

1. It is *NOT* selfish to refuse an order to spam people, especially with a bogus, guilt-tripping, emotionally blackmailing petition chain letter!

2. It is not my selfishness that knows no bounds, it is your own! Your selfishness in wanting to hoodwink people via serious deceptive emotional wallop to get them passing on a soppy, hackjob of a stupid poem and phoney useless petition that does no good, all bad.

3. Not to mention your obnoxiousness, your arrogance, your utter stuck-upness, intolerable self-righteousness and audacity to insult everybody by default who sees your pile of dreck!

👹Meme: Make this small promise . . . read the story, sign your name, and if you like, dedicate it to someone you loved and lost.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: There's no way I'll sign my name to your piece of filth as if it was a real petition. And I certainly will not dedicate this travesty to anyone!

👹Meme: Please do not just hit the forward button. Take the time to cut and paste because this list is hard to clean up. Keep it nice!

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: "Keep it nice" That's a barrel of laughs since you can't even take that advice to heart yourself! Referencing the above where you cowardly call everyone who doesn't buy into your stupid hoax, selfish! And not only will I not inflict it on my friends, I will not leave any names on it if I find any. I will rip this dumb story or poem or whatever you wanna call it a new one or two or three or...

👧🏻Meme: "Somebody Should Have Taught Him"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: That's another problem with this thing right there, the title absolutely stinks given the context of your dying uber Mary Sue poem that just refuses to die!

You really are into trying to make people feel rotten, you are a miserable halfwit. So now, you put on the mantle of this dying kid. Don't expect any sympathy from me as your hackjob gets ripped to pieces.

👧🏻Meme: I went to a birthday party mom I remembered what you said. You told me not to drink at all mom So I drank soda instead.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Or sprite I think you said in the latest version I saw rearing its ugly head on some poor sucker's blog. And kid, just for the record, drinking soda/sprite is still drinking. You would've made more sense if you'd said your mom told you not to drink any booze. Not "drinking at all" means just that, which means not even drinking pop. But anyway...So you had pop, oh goody for you, I'm sure you weren't the only one. Or maybe you really did have booze and just don't want to admit it.

👧🏻Meme: I felt proud inside mom,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: How can you feel "proud inside Mom" ? I would assume you exited her womb ages ago!

👧🏻Meme: Just the way you said I would, that I didn't choose to drink and drive mom Though some friends said I should.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: "drink and drive Mom" drive her where? Up the wall? Around the bend? Crazy? I can imagine... So you didn't bow to peer pressure. You think you were the only one? Think again. Don't expect any awe-struckness from me.

👧🏻Meme: I knew I made the right choice mom Because your advice to me was right

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You knew it was right because you knew it was right, got it. Can you say "redundant?"

👧🏻Meme: And as the party finally ended mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Kid, methinks you have been hitting the sauce a little too much. First you were proud inside your mom, now the party ended Mom? What was your mom doing at a party for kids your age anyway?

👧🏻Meme: The kids drove out of sight.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: And you got a hankering to be a dying girl in a chain letter.

👧🏻Meme: I got into my car mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You got into your car, or into your mom?

👧🏻Meme: Sure to get home in one piece, never knowing what was coming mom Something I expected least.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah right...You planned this from the beginning.

👧🏻Meme: Now I'm lying on the pavement, mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah, you're lying like a rug.

👧🏻Meme: I can hear the policeman say, "The kid that caused this wreck was drunk," mom His voice seems far away.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, please! As if that's one of the first things the police would say as the paramedics are trying to scoop you up off the pavement and get you to the hospital. Kid, they would try to treat you first, and figure all that stuff out later. You're dreaming because you wish everybody would feel sorry for you and think you were so terribly perfect just because you drank soda!

👧🏻Meme: My own blood is all around me, mom as I try hard not to cry.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You're bleeding like a stuck pig and you're still trying not to cry? You're not for real... Who else's blood would it be anyway? Maybe the person you hit. Or maybe it was just soda spillage, anyway, I'm pretty sure if you were bleeding that badly, the police wouldn't be standing around pointing fingers.

👧🏻Meme: I can hear the paramedic say, mom "This girl is going to die."

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: This is another place where you really botched it up! Paramedics don't talk like that when they're too busy doing important stuff like, oh, trying to save your sorry self-righteous simpering skin! They wouldn't say stuff like that in front of a patient or their families, they are not prophets or fortune tellers! If you die, you are then pronounced dead, but no professional would just blurt out "This girl is going to die." with the same panicky wrecklessness and/or lack of tact as somebody saying "I'm gonna flunk this test!" or "This party's gonna be lame!"

👧🏻Meme: I'm sure the guy had no idea, mom while he was flying high, because he chose to drink and drive mom that I would have to die.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: So you're sure you'd have to die. If that's the case, why are you still breezing around all over the net in this pity-party? There's something else wrong with what you said. His drinking and driving didn't mean you "had to die" any more than passing on your stupid chain makes anyone a nice person.

👧🏻Meme: So why do people do it, mom knowing that it ruins lives?

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: For the same reason you thought up this chain letter, stupidity.

👧🏻Meme: But now the pain is cutting me now mom like a hundred stabbing knives.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Gosh, why not really pour on the Mary Sue melodrama, pour it on, THICK! I'm so terribly sorry for you...Not. So are you finally crying yet?

👧🏻Meme: Tell my sister not to be afraid, mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: And the oh so sad violins start playing cornily. So why didn't you say your sister's name? Oh, because she's really not that important. She's only a small plot device designed to make people sadder for you.

👧🏻Meme: Tell daddy to be brave,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Hmh, you must be one of those yuppy kids. "Daddy?"

👧🏻Meme: and when I go to heaven mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: *Rolling eyes and yawning* You'll be in that big soda fountain in the sky and you'll send invisible ink letters to your sister and your mom and your daddy, telling them all about how you're no longer in pain and how they should be happy for you etc. etc.

👧🏻Meme: Write "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Gah, you know, this thing you have about your "daddy" I, uh, don't like it. Seems, well, unhealthy somehow, You know, kid, you're supposed to love all your family equally. A thought just occurred to me. If you're calling God "Daddy" uh, that's just disrespectful.

👧🏻Meme: Someone should have taught him mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: How can anybody teach him mom? There weren't mom classes when I was in school anyway.

👧🏻Meme: that it's wrong to drink and drive. Maybe if his mom and dad had, mom I'd still be alive.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Someone ought to teach you that your insufferable attitude is wrong! Like I've said before, you can't blame everything on the parents! Kids do stupid things at parties even if they were taught better! Shame on you for blaming some innocent people for some kid's decision to act irresponsibly! You have no idea about anything. This whole thing was just a huge manipulation by you, and you went way out of the bounds of anything realistic in an attempt to make people feel terribly sorry for you and foaming at the mouth over the problem of drinking and driving.

👧🏻Meme: My breath is getting shorter, mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: So let me get this straight. You are lying on the pavement, trying not to cry, with blood all around, and you can still hear absolutely everything being said, and you're feeling like you are stabbed with a hundred knives, and yet you still have the wherewithal to notice that your breath is getting shorter? This just proves you are manipulative and phoney as they come.

👧🏻Meme: I'm getting really scared.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You mean you weren't really scared before now? Not even when you hallucinated the paramedic saying you were going to die?

👧🏻Meme: These are my final moments, mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Gah, if only that was true, and people would stop forwarding you along, and posting you on their sites as if you were something deserving of their pity.

👧🏻Meme: and I'm so unprepared.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Wait a minute, I thought you were pretty sure of yourself a few stanzas ago, where you said that about being in heaven? So what, are you now worried about landing in - nevermind...

👧🏻Meme: I wish that you could hold me Mom, as I lie here and die.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Right, that'll really get 'em in the hearts so they'll fall into their tissue boxes and forward this chain on madly! If you were really so bad off, this thing would never have been written. Near-dying people facing hundred stabby feelings, blood all around etc. well, you see, they can't think up this self-pitying dreck let alone write it down.

👧🏻Meme: I wish that I could say Mom

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: You've been saying "Mom" so many times throughout this dreary excuse of a poem, and yet you want "Daddy's Girl" on your grave. Anyway, the point is, you've overused the "Mom" word as it is.

👧🏻Meme: I love you and good-bye

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Yeah I'll bet...Only you'll never go away as long as you can get any chump forwarding or posting your dreadful gunk out of pity, sadness, guilt and all that rot you like to inflict on so many innocent people. You'll just pretend you're dead so you can make your equally fictional family remain in a moment of time where you are lying on the pavement and no one is really doing anything for you because they all know you're gonna die anyway.

👧🏻Meme: SIGN AND ADHERE TO IT: "I PLEDGE TO NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE"

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: I've done well in that department. I don't need a stupid chain letter to keep me from drinking and driving. I also doubt passing it on to anyone else would magically cure or prevent them from drinking, driving, or both.

So that completely nixes any chance at that stupid poem actually being a good thing, and, it is a lousy chain letter after all. It doesn't matter how good the cause is that it's claiming to promote. The best way to shoot a good cause in the foot is with pathetic, pants-on-fire memes!

Over - and - out!
