I have a lot to dish out to "Truke".
John Fletcher wrote a sort of sequel play where Petruchio is "tamed" by Katherine's cousin Maria.
Here are a few links about it.
Fletcher's play falls short of satisfaction because Petruchio still gets his own way in the end. And Fletcher kills off Katherine, so she gets absolutely no relief or any kind of justice. Truke just comes away with a new rich girl on his arm after she supposedly "tames" him. She should've left him in the dust. Someone who breaks another's spirit and starves them of food and sleep to make them submit, doesn't deserve another chance at marriage.
