Crap.
Complete and utter crap.
Nothing more, nothing less.
But why is it so loved? Why is it so highly praised by people?
Is it because they're stupid eleven year-olds and it's the longest thing they've ever read so it has sentimental value to them?
Not even joking when I say this, but if you enjoy Jeff the Killer, you are stupid.
You have terrible taste, are too easily scared/amused, and probably think it's the coolest crap ever written.
Opinions?
Also, every spin-off ever is complete crap.
Another cancerous subject in the creepypasta community is the deviantart idiots who make stupid family photos of all the creepypastas and say Jeff is hot because they're edgy to-the-max.

I agree, Jeff the Killer sucks, but what's more annoying are the 12-16 year old fangirls! They always say crap like "OMG i love Jeff and i will mary him" and crap like that, seriously, that is just pathetic, they are ignoring everything logical. Even if Jeff was real (Yeah Right) He would be blind, mentally chalenged, and propably somewhere lying dead on the road considering that somone could easily gough his eyes out with their bare hand.
In other words, the fangirls are idiotic morons, the guy who wrote the story atlest tried, and, the story throws logic out the window.
Read 1999 or something, that has the least cliches, is very interesting, and actually uses logic.
Edited by SOMEGUY123 12:31, September 14, 2013
Ocean Elf: That and Jeff is so hung up on his own *cough* "beauty" *cough* that I just don't see him as being interested in any fangirl in the slightest, unless he gets a sudden surge of hormones that causes him to want to get off on whatever's handy. But Sesseur is not comfortable with the sexual things the fangirls are writing about JTK.

It's not that people actually think it's scary, cause honestly it isn't, but people like different things. It's what makes a person unique. If you think you can call people stupid for liking something that you don't then, I'm sorry but, you're the stupid one. It's just a story. If you don't like it then fine but don't make those, who do, feel bad.
14:41, September 14, 2013

I'm not saying don't say your opinion. I'm asking you not call people stupid for liking something you don't. Doing that just lowers yourself to that of an internet troll. Everyone is entitled to they're opinion. But no one has the right to degrade someone else.
14:48, September 14, 2013
Ocean Elf: Not quite, not in this case anyway. It's one thing to not be into the same things. It's a whole other thing, stupid, actually, to crush on a twisted sadistic character who would cheerfully carve your family up and enjoy making you witness it, then spill your guts or set you on fire.
What is trollish is sticking "cancer" into everything.

I agree with this, though I would like to point out: Without these popular, cliched, overused pastas, we really wouldn't have a fanbase to speak of. No one would really become interested in creepypasta without the fanfare the likes of Jeff and Slenderman have given it, and yes it did get out of hand with the rabid fan-girls, and the spin-offs/rip-offs; also the shipping (Dear Hamgod the shipping e_e).Jeff is not a good read, I can name countless pastas on this site alone that make it pale in comparison. However, it's cemented in our creepypasta culture, but we don't really have to acknowledge/like that fact.

Not really. Sure, Squidward's Suicide was a big contribution but not the only reason the wiki got popular. And no one is debating that Slenderman came from the wiki because it didn't and mostly everyone knows that.

I wouldn't say the story's original at all. JTK just took a common theme (someone gets messed with, then getting their revenge somehow) and tried to creepify it by having all the burning, young thugs, acting crazy, killing everyone, etc. It just tried to hard at being crazy and scary.
As for the popularity, if you look at the pictures and fan art people draw of JTK, he looks like he'd be the singer for an emo band. I'd be willing to bet that many of JTK fans (especially the female fans) are really into the emo bands that wear hoodies and mascara and stuff.

CreepyStoriesRUs
CreepyStoriesRUs
I know he took a common theme and "zalgofied" it, but other than that he came up with it. I agree, though, he looks like someone from KISS or some emo band. What I don't get is the creator putting that much gore and stupid ideas into it to make it seem creepy. A creepypasta does not need gore to be perfect, it just needs that feeling you get at the end, as if someone or something is watching you. The best creepypastas do not contain gore, such as Ted the Caver, for example. I don't get how people like Jeff the Killer all because it has gore, a freak fire accident, and a psychopath who cut his eyes out. I mean, who needs a guy like that to be creeped out. That is why I joined, so I could show people the true meaning of a creepypasta.
Edited by CreepyStoriesRUs 22:35, September 17, 2013

Yes the story is overatted but i like how that person thought of the story, a 13 year old going insane, killing everyone, carving a smile into his face and burning off his eyelids. The story has a little twist to it so thats what keeps it interesting. But im not saying thats the greatest story im just saying i like the idea.
