Doughboy Obit Viral Joke

Ugh. This meme was around when I was an internet newbie. It didn't even crack me a grin the first time I read it.

--

😏Meme: The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a severe yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: He's called the Dough BOY for a reason. Your "yeast infection" thang really falls flat. I've never heard of anyone dying from a yeast infection, and only heard of it occurring in males as a possible side effect of some drug being advertised on TV.

And he's been "dying/dead" since about 1996 or so...

😏Meme: He was 71.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: That must've been an awfully long day and 71st year. This chain has been around pretty much since the early days of the internet.

The rest of the dull obit parody tosses in more ridiculous puns like how much he was kneaded and his half-baked schemes etc.

If the people behind the Doughboy creation died, it would be pretty poor taste writing up something like that for them.

Doughboy is still in TV commercials and that fictional character won't retire or die unless the ones behind the scenes producing commercials and animating him, decide so.

Over and out.
