Well, not really moving anywhere. These memes are attention and info-grabs. They are the ones doing the moving, around the net. The people circulating them? Not so much.
The I'm Going To Live In x For x Months Facebook chain status meme has puzzled a lot of people.
And it appears to have absolutely no point. At least that's better than getting women to post racy statuses and pretend it's about cancer awareness.

Well, it's still a stupid status chain, and I think it's probably a way of getting people to reveal their birthdays, even if they have their FB privacy settings not to display their birth dates publicly. Most likely an attempt at collecting stats on people, and disguising that operation as a not-so-fun status game. The end result is a reveal of birthdays in a bunch of annoying nonsense status updates.
