Not only that, but you've managed to get several people worried that I was the one who changed it because of being upset, you just sat back and said nothing to clear it up. And *that* is not funny!
The problem has been fixed, there is decent music on the group home page once again.

Your behavior on this list is inappropriate, and the mods have been receiving private complaints about it from the other members.
I, too, have grown tired of wading through the petty one-upmanship from you both in your attempt to get in the last and deadliest zinger. If you want to disagree about something, that's your right. But this has gone beyond disagreement and even arguement and into the realm of grade school prattle.
No one is impressed by your past love lives, such as they are, or how unattractive you think the other is, and sometimes it is best not to say any more if you have nothing of intelligence, interest or value to say, and if what you do say only makes you look worse.
If you throw enough mud at each other, you both come out covered in it and indistinguishable from each other...no better, no worse. There are no heroes among flamers.
If you really feel the need to share the flames, please, kindly do the rest of us the consideration and take it to private email.

Good gads, Marilee - WTH is your $#@$@#$ problem?
Boasting? Hardly!
I'll try to keep this simple enough for you to read okay?
I had to explain where I got the article, because I'm not the one who wrote it. Understand so far? Good.
Next - I had to point out why all the edits and since the original url was posted, I thought it wise to discourage people from going over there to check it out. Especially when I could offer a g-rated edition here. It's got nothing to do with me thinking I'm better than everyone else, though I think I am better than somebody who comes up with the sort of tasteless things some people come up with out there. Would you want someone like NT checking that site out, thinking it was okay? Because chances are that could happen if I didn't caution about its bad content and why I did what I did.
So unless you have something to say about the article and not about me personally, cram it, Marilee! You got that?

Don't worry about Marilee, if I was you I would've done and said much the same thing. It is too bad you weren't the one who originally wrote the whole thing, but you definitely improved on it. If you didn't feel compelled to give references where you got it, I'd suggest putting your revised edition up on your site. Because it should be enjoyed without Chah-Chee's original idiotics.

Anything to be the best. He didn't really mean it, you know how people get when they're hot under the collar. You of all people should know how it feels to be that angry. Marilee:
*Tcks!*
First of all, there's a difference between being angry, and being a pervo who promotes violence and violation, even if he might not have literally meant it. Yes Marilee, I know a lot of net trolls use tasteless language and examples in order to try getting whatever point across they're trying to make. But Xanadu is right - that sort of crap speaks volumes about them rather than about whoever they're ranting about. If he really wants to be thought of as intelligent, he shouldn't have gone into gutter-minded troll mode at any time during that article, especially not going as far as to threaten to beat up somebody's kids! I've seen so-called anti-animal rights people making total idiots of themselves too, so they look as bad as the ars they claim to be against. It's the same thing here and That just doesn't work, Marilee.
Like sheesh, just because I'm as annoyed as Cha-Chee with forwards doesn't mean I have to like and agree with absolutely everything he says, and it doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to take his otherwise good article and salvage it when there's enough to work with, and I could change what needed to be changed, and still have it come out hilarious without the rotten junk to marr it!
And you never answered my question, would you want someone under age or very sensitive checking out that site because they weren't warned away from it?
Back to temper, Marilee, okay, so I'm not placid. I never have been and never said I was. But before you talk about me losing my cool, try taking a good look closer to home. Because quite frankly, you managed to make me laugh with that comment.

Well Indy -
The internet is not a place for thin-skinned people. If they can't handle it, they probably shouldn't be on the net in the first place. As for under aged kids, you remember Senna don't you, and how disgusting you said she was? A little naughty talk wouldn't faze her and she was under age, you said. You even pointed out she was a filthy troll. As for someone like NT, she's on the net at her own risk and hopefully has the sense not to explore anything past her email inbox without supervision. Even her inbox could be too much given the types of spam out there.
So no, I don't think we need to make any more allowances and stifle freedom of expression just because a few hyper-sensitive or young people can't handle it. If you were concerned about NT seeing the article, I don't know why you didn't just post it the way Cha-Chee wrote it with a warning at the top that it wasn't suitable for younger or some adult readers. Instead, you did this hack job and had the nerve to rave about how much better your changes were. You just can't leave anything alone, can you?

Oh - right, Marilee - clear off and out of the way, because the internet rightly belongs to the trolls and pervs who absolutely have to have a place to be obnoxious without any reprocussions. After all, their rights are soooooooo much more important than those of decent people!
Sorry Marilee, that's not going to happen here. The internet isn't owned by anyone, which means everyone owns it, which means since I own this list, I make the rules on this list, and the rules are no seriously objectionable content. Are you too sensitive to handle that? By the way, your attitude and perspective stinks to high heaven. Now shut up.

I see you're back, Marilee.
Let me ask you something. If someone on the net decided to keep sending you content you didn't like, would you be yelling in defense of their rights to spam the internet, or would you scream for them to stop sending you unwelcome email? Think carefully before you answer.
The internet is not age specific, gender specific, it's meant to be a place for everyone. But you seem to be in favor of discrimination against some people so that others can 'exercise their freedom of expression' which, by the way, you are confusing with being indecent and inconsiderate.
Other than your silly grudge against Indy, why do you not like the article she posted? Why do you think it is better in its original form? Can you come up with an honest answer to that without any personal put-downs?

Marilee -
It is my business when you bash someone unfairly on a public list that I'm on. It's double my business if my name gets mentioned - which it has.
Marilee, if Indy and Sarah have complained about you reporting things that weren't verified, or sticking a camera in the face of someone who is grief-stricken and sobbing, or filming at a scene of carnage when saving lives is and should be the first priority, then they are hardly to blame for getting upset.
Please don't try telling me they exaggerate. I've seen enough of some of your broadcasts. More often than not, they are just a little disturbing.
NT
πFrom: "Marilee"
Subject: Re: Can't sleep. Got time to spare.
NT,
I realize you're young and probably don't understand the adult world completely. So for you, it's going to seem callous to film people crying over a loss.
But you need to try looking at it this way. Some people want to be on camera, they want their images captured for posterity, even if they are crying. Some people will even play up to the camera and try to cry harder so they'll be included in the final cut for the news story. That's sometimes the only way they feel they can be heard. I'm giving them that chance, not like Indy, who turns the camera off at the first sign of distress from an interviewee. Do you think that's fair of her to do, cut them off so they can't be seen and heard? It does nothing to help them or the public who might watch the news story and find a way to help.
Marilee
πFrom: "NT"
Subject: Re: Can't sleep. Got time to spare.
Marilee -
Wow - just - wow.
*Shakes head and shrugs* Ahem...That's - interesting - but
do you ask the people first if they want to be on camera?
I guess some people play things up, but not all of them, and probably not the majority of them, and especially not in the midst of a horrific tragedy.
There was a broadcast you did once about those annoying cry-baby teens who threw monumental fits just because their pop idol didn't show up at the airport where they were waiting for him, yes, I think they were either working hard to scream, sob, and throw themselves around to look like idiots for this guy or for the camera. Either that or they were spoiled brats who never got disciplined and never learned any self-control. I wonder if you were to show them that footage ten years from now how embarrassed they would be?
But there's a huge difference between those brats and most of the people you film.
Who is going to be standing around trying to pose for the best interview after they just lost their child to a psychopath, or lost a family in a car crash? Somehow I just don't see playing for the camera as entering their minds at that stage.
Marilee, you just keep filming while someone's falling apart, and offer nothing in the way of comfort; and you're always smiling during these reports, even the most invasive ones. Why is that? It's disturbing.
It just doesn't seem right somehow.
