🤥Meme: My door is always open, kettle is always on and my sofa is always warm. My home is a place of peace and non-judgement.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: So you always got your door open but the couch is always warm and the kettle is always on, how does that work?
As for this judgments bit. Everyone judges. You can't have opinions without judging something. Usually those who go on and on about how they don't judge, turn out to be the worst for it, because they are always judging others for judging.
🤥Meme: Any of my buddies who need to chat, are welcome anytime .
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Oh sure, you're so much there that you thought making a chain letter saying so would suffice for proof.
No. Not so much.
🤥Meme: I have wine in the fridge, spirits in the cupboard, tea & coffee in the jars and I will always be here. ...You are always welcome, don't suffer in silence.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Inviting as that might seem to be on the surface, none of my friends actually wrote it. This is just another bit of over-done sap that actually wouldn't pass a real life test. Friends who wouldn't have their couches and coffee ready for you every time you needed a lift, but are only there to spread this sap, show they actually aren't there for you. Face it, nobody has a friend who is there so much for them at all times. Everybody's got their own busy lives to live. Chain letters like this are no substitute for actually putting the words into practice and being there, and we can't possibly be there for every friend all of the time. Not in the "Oh, sure, come on over whenever you feel like! I'm always here with coffee and tea and spirits and a couch and no judgments and peace for you 24/7!" sense.
🤥Meme: Blue Monday is a name given to a day in January, (typically the third Monday of the month) reported to be the most depressing day of the year and January is the worst month for suicides.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Wow. You just went from all warm and cozy to this.
consider your emotion-yank attempt rejected, and your suicide myth busted. Apparently the rate for suicide goes up in the spring, not at Christmas or in the middle of January. Or at least, that's what I heard from a source that is not a meme. And I'll take the word of a non-meme over a meme any day.
I got news for you, even people who commit suicide may have been too busy to realize friends were needing their companionship, too. They can live just as busy lives as those of us who aren't depressed.
Do you really think this chain letter, copied and pasted all over the net by so many unrelated people who might not have otherwise had a thing to do with their friends, is going to save lives?
Or maybe you just want me to believe that and pass it on.
Think again.
🤥Meme: It's always good to talk but even better to listen.......
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, wow, this coming from some copy-paste chain letter that can't actually listen since it is not sentient, yet it overdoes the sappy sweet and then goes from there into a downer.
🤥Meme: Could at least one friend, please copy and repost (not share)?
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Copy paste, repost, share, same diff. Spam however you slice it.
🤥Meme: I'm trying to demonstrate that someone is always listening.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: You won't manage that by getting more of these sickly sweet chain letters circulating. Wanna listen? Then actually listen.
Over and out!
