Why doesn't he just get a paper route?
😏Meme: A letter to GOD?
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: (*Groans*
😏Meme: A little boy wanted $100 badly and prayed for two weeks but nothing happened.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: What did you expect, kid, for God to just make the sky suddenly rain money for you? What'd you want that much money for anyway?
😏Meme: Then he decided to write GOD a letter requesting the $100.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Kid, that is so lame. What makes you think writing to God, who doesn't have a fixed address anywhere, will make it rain money quicker than saying prayers?
😏Meme: When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to GOD USA,
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Kid, that's another mistake. Assuming God only lives in the USA! You're sad...
😏Meme: they decided to send it to President Bush.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Yes, this is a chain about Bush and not Obama, so if they decide to morph it into an Obama one, just remember this silly thing was around when Bush was in office, so would've been loved and spread around by the democrats...
😏Meme: The President was so impressed, touched, and amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Cheapskate. He'd be better off sending back a letter telling the little boy that he can't reach God at an earthly address and that sooner or later he'll get his hundred bucks, just not necessarily when he wants it, and maybe long after he's forgotten about it. For instance, the boy could get a paper route and save the money up thathe earns, now there's a concept!
😏Meme: The President thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: C'mon, whoever the pres is, he's not that thick. The boy wants a hundred and if he's school age and can do some basic math, he'd know that 5 is a far, far cry from 100!
😏Meme: The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 and sat down to write a thank you note to GOD, which read:
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, brother! *Rolling eyes*
😏Meme: Dear GOD,
Thank you very much for sending the money, however, I noticed that for some reason you had to send it through Washington D.C. and, as usual, they took most of it.
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: DROLL! *GONG!*
As if this little boy would even think that way. This is definitely a case of an adult trying to make up a cutely hilarious little kid joke that would produce huge haw-haws from other adults because somehow these kids that inhabit chain letters seem totally uncanny in their abilities to delve deep into the adult psyche in order to push just the right buttons and get just the right results.
In this case, the typical response would be "Hahahahaha! Hilarious! Yeah! Smart kid! Washington takes all our money, and he knows it!"
However unbelievable it is, it might be cuter in a sitcom, although obviously contrived and scripted, and would barely manage to squeeze out a small grin from me if that.
I'm not convinced this is a kid, I'm not laughing, and you, kid, better be glad you didn't ask me for the money instead. I'd give it to you in the negative numbers if I could, just because you are a silly meme kid.
Note to all out there, I am actually a lot nicer to kids in real life. :) Just in case anyone is wondering. *Grins* meme kids are another matter.
Over and out.
