Peta's Fishy Agenda

This was from some time ago on a role-play list, but what these characters have to say makes as much sense today as it did then.

Hey guys, while on the subject of PETA, I thought Sarah and Indy would like to know that W1 heard on the radio today that PETA protested at the Monterey Bay Aquarium (they are about an hour and a half south of San Francisco, in Monterey). They were upset that the Aquarium was serving fish in their restaurant...equating it to "serving poodle at a dog show". I did a search on the web for the story but couldn't find it.

Huh, when I heard this I thought that it would be more like criticizing a rodeo for serving beef at their food stands...comparing it to poodle at dog shows is just plain dumb, but then as soon as someone mentions rodeos and beef, I'm sure they'll be straight after them.

*Hey, Bro, can you pass the popcorn?* *sitting back to watch PETA make further fools of themselves*

*chokes* Hahahaha!

What a bunch of retards! Do you ever notice how these dingbats never get upset at people for serving fish food, including other fish, to the ones in the aquarium?

Serving poodle at a dog show indeed. As if. *snickers*

P.S. Think I'm gonna go eat the rest of that sausage roll left over from dinner.

Hehe! Hey!

*bursts out laughing*

I hadn't heard this one but it doesn't surprise me. I honestly wonder how those fuzzbrains ever learned the basics of life, like walking, talking, toilet training etc. Because they're almost too stupid to exist. Clue to the PEta wangsters: Fish eat other fish, so if you flakes are going to yell at us for eating them, you better take your drithering rhetoric to the fish-eating fish as well. Hopefully they don't die on the spot from the polluted dreck that spouts from your tofu-holes!

So...

Peta doesn't want us eating fish at an aquarium - duh, do these idiots really think the fishies swimming around in that aquarium could care what goes on outside of it let alone what we eat? Or for that matter, that a dog would care if we did eat poodle at a dog show? Both fish and dogs would steal our lunch whatever it was if given half a chance.

In the far north, during very lean times, dog sledders killed, ate, and fed some of the weakest dogs to the stronger. And the dogs fought over the scraps.

The world of fish is no less savage, the big ones eat the little, even their own kind.

Peta's Fishy Agenda

This is particularly ludicrous when PEta could spend their time and effort trying to put an end to poverty.

People are starving to death in other countries, and in some very sad situations, here, and all PEta cares about is something as absurd as dictating what people put into their mouths.

Women and children get abused, and PEta wants to rescue animals from labs.

Men are getting falsely accused of rape and abuse, their lives ruined by malicious or at the very best, cowardly women bringing about those charges, and the courts that are very sloppy in their pursuit of "justice" and Peta wants to turn children against their moms with pamphlets that say "Your mommy is a murderer" with faked up pictures of rabbits being sliced open, in anti-fur campaigns.

Some people haven't got sufficient clothing or shelter, and PEta wants to free mink from fur ranches.

People die or are seriously injured in accidents caused by drunk driving, and PEta has a campaign against drinking milk.

Someone is dying from a horrible condition in a hospice, and PEta wants to end all research involving animals that might one day help advance the fight enough to wipe out that disease or syndrome.

The holocaust inflicted unspeakable suffering on so many people, and PEta compares them with broiler chickens! And, PEta considers the imagined suffering of the chickens to be more important and more valid than the real suffering of any holocaust casualty or survivor.

The founder of PEta blames her own father for his death, since he "lived dangerously at the table." She uses his death as a platform to tout her veganism.

I know I haven't posted very much, but I agree whole-heartedly with Indy, Sarah, and all who have posted. PEta is, in a word, reprehensible.

Here's another Peta story, they seem to be obsessed with fish nowadays. Probably because it's summer, when fishing is at its height. In the autumn PEta will be crying over turkeys.

PETA goes overboard about fish

by David Dirks

Some things that happen are so bizarre, they're hard to explain. Recently, I received a letter from the Karin Robertson, fish empathy project manager for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Robertson was writing about a new anti-fishing billboard campaign that is currently appearing in areas throughout the U.S. As you can see from the photo, it depicts a dog with a fishing hook though its mouth. The caption, "If you wouldn't do this to a dog, why do it to a fish?" is troubling. Some of you may be thinking that I shouldn't show the photo. Too bad. You need to see what this well-financed organization is saying and doing about angling. "Fish are interesting individuals who also deserve human compassion," says Robertson in her letter. Since when do you associate fish as individuals? That's the trick of PETA: convince people that every animal and fish in the world is an "individual." According to Robertson, "Fish are smart, they can use tools." What tools could you be referring to? Underwater hammer? Then there's this gem: "Fish are really sensitive, they have personalities." Have you spoken to one lately? Just when you think it can get worse, there is a quote from PETA president Ingrid Newkirk, "Fishing isn't a sport - it's just legalized cruelty. Imagine putting a hook through your dog's mouth and dragging him or her behind your car -you'd be locked away." Notice her choice of phrasing. Not only does she want you to think of a hook in your dog's mouth, she takes it even further. Then she'd like you to think of dragging your dog behind your car, hook impaled, while you're driving 65 mph. A few weeks ago it was reported in this paper, buried somewhere on page nine, that PETA staff members were charged with animal cruelty. Animal cruelty? By the organization sworn to preserve it at any cost? Local veterinarians and animal control officers in North Carolina were told by the PETA workers that they would find homes for the animals. Instead, they killed them and then dumped their bodies in a Dumpster. Police staked out the Dumpster and arrested them when they came to dump more dead dogs and cats. Police found 18 dead animals in the Dumpster and 13 more in a van registered to PETA. They have an article on their Web site entitled, "PETA helping animals in North Carolina."
