Mary In the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louiseville, Kentucky

This chain was posted on a hoax-spreading FB page, and is based on myths about the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louiseville, Kentucky being haunted - which, of course, it isn't.

* * *

🤥Mary's Meme: Hi my name is Mary.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Another one? Marys are as common in chain letters as Jennys. And you can call me Ocean.

🤥Mary:: I am 11 years old and have been for a very very long time, since my death.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Mary, you can't stretch time to be 11 forever, especially if you're supposed to be too dead to write this chain.

In case you don't quite get the message, it means: I don't believe your balderdash.

🤥Mary:: On my 11th birthday, I was diagnosed with pneumonia.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Heck of a birthday present…

🤥Mary:: Nurses tried the pneumothorax method on me,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Huh? They actually tried to give you one of those? That makes no sense whatsoever.

🤥Mary:: but since it was very experimental,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Try very quacko.

🤥Mary:: I died.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Rubbish. if you died, you couldn't have written this chain.

🤥Mary:: To this day, I still haunt the very hospital i died in: Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louiseville, Kentucky.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: No you don't. For one thing, it's Louisville, not Louiseville. More to the point, there is such a place as the Waverly Sanatorium there, but it's closed now, and there's no such things as hauntings and no such person as you.

🤥Mary:: If you don't believe this message,

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: It means I'm smart and you're stupid.

🤥Mary:: look up "sightings of Mary in the waverly hills sanatorium." and you'll have your proof.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Wrong. The only thing that comes up is more copies of this bogus story. As I've said before, the building exists. you don't.

🤥Mary:: send this to 8 people or the next time you visit any hospital, I'll see you there.

🧝‍♀️Ocean Elf: Oh, how lovely! You'll find out somehow when I get hospitalized and you'll come give me a visit, how sweet of you. Pick me up something nice as well,like candy or an e-book or something to pass the time when you have to leave.

But I don't plan on getting sick, and even if I got sick or injured, you have no idea where I am in the world, let alone which hospital I'd be in, or even what landed me in there.

Anyway - I'm not spamming your silly story to anyone else. So go ahead and give yourself a pneumothorax over it.
