Jane The Killer always had my contempt for being a sadistic and bloody hypocrite, and that remains the strongest part of my dislike. But there are plenty of other reasons she is disliked by other people along with me, for being such a monumental Mary Sue.
There's her basic backstory and description as well as an extended story about how Jane got her ridiculous overload of super powers that turned out to be useless as Jane only added to the mass murder problem instead of what she was supposed to do - try to help put an end to it.
The following is taken from Shirawolf1's entry. As usual, I'll make comments throughout it and to the comments she received.

🐺Shirawolf1: She is an uber powerful demon/devil according to the creator

🧝♀️Ocean Elf: No, it doesn't. There are already way too many of those, as well as characters who are said to have a good side and an evil side, because they are either related to a demon or the devil, or because madness runs in the family.

By 1997, when Jane was 12-years-old, she was constantly made fun of in school because of her sexual orientation and got caught making out with a cute girl during recess.

I always thought it meant actually having sex, while PDA - public display of affection AKA kissing, walking arm in arm, cuddling was the term for what kids sometimes do in the halls and on the school grounds. Yes, sometimes kids do get in trouble for PDA, especially deep kissing.
💢🐕MrAngryDog: The girl that Jane was amorously infatuated with noticed two bullies-- a couple of mean girls giving Jane a hard time and she (the girl) shouted angrily at them to leave her alone, but didn't take her seriously. Jane had enough of being made fun of and made an example of her two tormentors. During the fight, Jane got a cut on her lip. She glared at the two bullies ominously, wiped the blood from her lip, and licked it off her fingers.
🐺Shirawolf1: 2. What does that have to do with the story? Nothing? Then why is it there?!
🧝♀️Ocean Elf:Probably an attempt to make Jane look badarse, maybe hinting at the idea that she could have vampiric tendencies. Bleh.
💢🐕MrAngryDog: The fight continued until a nearby classroom was dispatched and teachers had to pull the girls away from each other. When Jane's family came to the school and the principle told them what happened, Mr. Richardson was outraged. Not at what had transpired, but because his daughter got made fun of and bullied around for being gay, and nobody in the school done nothing about it.
🐺Shirawolf1: 3. You say it like she said something.
💢🐕MrAngryDog: The school was sued, and Jane was transferred to a different school who didn't care what sexual orientation you were.
🐺Shirawolf1: 4. Wait...Back it up.That's not a very valid reason to sue.And why didn't they pick the 2nd school first?

🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Because naturally if you aren't just brimming with gay pride, you are judged as not excepting people for who they are. Oh, please! SJW much?
💢🐕MrAngryDog: By age 25, Jane had found work at a children's daycare center. For two reasons: it paid good-- $9.22 an hour, she loved children, and children loved her. 🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Around 2010, and Jane couldn't be a poorer fit for working in a daycare!
Jane's kid sister was about ready to graduate from high school until Jessie was brutally beaten by the popular girl for her not falling into the criteria of "cool kids." Jessie was admitted to the hospital's ICU and lapsed into a coma several weeks later.

If you are wondering how Jane got her powers, this should answer all your questions. Her powers were the result of a lab experiment.

Funny how everybody is just cool with Jeff being over powered and they just conclude that he actually killed Liu when the 2011 story ended with him standing over him, ready to stab him, and it didn't actually say he was able to carry it out, especially when Liu awoke. Liu should've been struggling for his life and if Jeff could just manhandle him with one hand and hold him down while stabbing him with the knife in the other hand, that means Jeff is over powered with super strength that he inexplicably got from either the fire or from going cray cray.
Liu doesn't get killed. He joins Jeff in a life of crime.

But I don't think the list has anything to do with the actual killings except that she got a lot of loot from hers and Jeff's killings. And she would keep a Jeff shrine and go to Jeff fangirl conventions. Because is just that obsessed.

🧝♀️Ocean Elf: I think it was a number of people. It was this weird cabal of FBCIA scientists that pumped her full of some toxic liquid hate serum that really brought out the monster that lurked within Jane the whole time. Cliche.
🙃~FangirlXOfEverything: I just love how you just say that Jeff killed her parents. There's no reason, not story, no showing of her turning into the insane killer she is. Its totally random, and if that's her only reason for wanting to brutally murder him,
🧝♀️Ocean Elf: Which would be ample reason for any normal person to want to kill somebody, but the time is way off. Jane's story was said to happen in 2002, but Jeff only killed in 2008 at the earliest when it was 13.
More to the point, Jane didn't even try to go after Jeff, she killed at least 211 other people instead, so that makes her whole story along with her super powers, crumble.

🧝♀️Ocean Elf: That's exactly what makes her a sad joke as well as a Mary Sue. A supreme hypocrite who can't even be bothered really gunning for Jeff, but she only helps him kill more people, brutally, I might add. That's the thing most despicable about her.

Personally, I agree.
I never heard this original story of Jane, but I know what's called the 'Real Story' which marks Jane as a normal girl that lived near Jeff, which Jeff ends up killing her mom and dad as well as friends, and attempted to kill her.. However she survived a fire.. Which affected her worse than Jeff, and caused her to hold a grudge against Jeff. The burns and the like caused her to wear a mask (Which was a gift from Jeff in the story I read.. Which is retarded.

Next, the stupid mask. My theory behind that besides Jeff having Swiss cheese for a brain, is this. The mask was a taunt. That's what Jeff does, he taunts people, including any surviving victims of his attacks. He definitely doesn't operate on a guilty conscience, out of the goodness of his heart, because he has none...
What I find retarded is that Jane accepted that mask. If some creep did to me what Jeff did to Jane, you can be sure I would, with as much violence as possible, trash any so-called gifts from sed creep in a heartbeat.

That version of Jane the Killer I have never heard about. I've heard that other one where she lives near by Jeff. It's really annoying that a girl, what Jeff hardly knows, becomes his worst enemy. That's my reason to hate Jane. And other reason is taht she's rippoff of Jeff the Killer, who is a Gary Stu.

If you are twice as sadistic a Jeff the Killer (Which seems abit impossible, To me) You would kill anyone who messed with you, Heck, You would kill anyone you see.

So it turns out that I missed a few things about Jane.
First off, She can never DIE, She can HEAL herself, And She is an UNSTOPPABLE, UNKILLABLE woman, endowed with SUPERNATURAL powers. Seriously, WTF?! She is a HUMAN. Humans can be killed, They can be stopped, And they can't have supernatural powers!
With all these powers, She really is a Mary-Sue -_-

Jeff's is "Go to sleep." So, Jane's phrase is basically Jeff's phrase with "Don't" Added to the beginning.

*clip* the fact that Jane is dating despite the fact that she is a murderer, who can loose her train of thought in an instant, and kill both her sister and her girlfriend, since she's the only one who has survived being pumped with that liquid stuff. Seriously, I'm surprised the scientists in her story aren't paying attention to that fact.

well, jane does kill women...... and she can die. she died in jeff vs jane because of child birth. thats not even half of how jeff could kill her. I like jane. THis is a real definition of a marysue: "A Mary Sue character is usually written by a beginning author. Though I respect your opinion, I do not side with the people who call her a mary-sue. besides we all have our own opions on certain characters.

First, she was made in reaction/response/as a kind of rival against Jeff The Killer. She is totally coddled by the other characters. She is over powered. Her "beautiful" appearance is noted more than once in her story and so is her apparently spectacularly clean blood. She gets praised by one character for having a lot of talent, all because she plugged her pancake syrup to an agent. She totally awestruck other characters during her date with the liquid hate. She was glommed all to heck by sister Jessie and gf Mary when getting home. Not to mention that sickening NDE scene during the time she flatlined while receiving the liquid hate. Even her name makes her a Jeff The Killer gender-bend.

And, to be honest, Jane's kind of perfect. Sure, she's no self-insert, but she has the perfect body, everyone likes her, and she never faces any sort of challenge. Due to the fact that she's immortal, she really can't lose a battle.

And I have to agree, Jeff's Story to how he became a creepypasta just sucks a little..
Sure it had original ideas, but it just seemed as though no human would do that..

Anyways, on to Jane the Killer! I think she is.. TOO over powerful, I mean who is UN-KILL ABLE, UN-DEAD, HEALING & UNSTOPPABLE..?? That's just too much.. And I know what I'm saying since I've made a few characters which are "Mary-Sueish".
All in all, no story/body is perfect, if the creator would just somehow LISTEN to people than RANT at them for "hating" Jane and "fapping/praising" to Jeff. And then MAYBE change Jane so she won't be so powerful, I would actually like her..

Yep. She really killed (haha) the whole Jeff storyline. I don't like anything about the series, and to me she just seems like one big Mary Sue -- no better than bony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way. It's really nothing more than a Jeff fan who wanted to make a character just like him but (of course) so much more powerful. It's ridiculous.

The whole "Jane Everlasting" thing burn victim thing was a bit silly (Author probably meant well, but "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" and all that jazz), plus directly tying her origins into Jeff's origin story makes her seem a lot like the definition of a Mary Sue.
That said, my personal view is if Jane Everlasting (when done well, and there are those who've pulled that off) can be treated as a separate character from the original Jane (as in she exists in an alternate timeline/universe), then I don't really care if she was a burn victim or got her face clawed off by Freddy Krueger.
It's when the two of them are treated as the same person that creates headaches.
Jane is a common enough name, Arkensaw and Richardson are completely different surnames, so Jane Arkensaw's story could work as long as she isn't "Jane The (insert title here) but just one of many people Jeff victimized.

Yeah, I've noticed that Jane has slowly started heading toward becoming a stand-alone character without any need to reference Jeff the Killer.
I also noticed that more of the Creepypasta fandom is slowly starting to accept her as a legitimate character and not "a genderbent Jeff/Mary Sue" (This also extends to her Everlasting counterpart, who for some reason seems to be popular among DA members who type in Spanish).
